    100% recommendation from me. Courteous, charming, smiley people who did thorough work and were fastidious in tidying up after themselves. Also went beyond their required remit and made additional effort to empty guttering and clear old, abandoned swallows nests from roofline and windows. Really exceptional service.

    Our first call to PGH was answered quickly, and reinforced by a handwritten note to confirm a free diagnosis visit. The visit was quick and efficient, the PGH man was on time and politely helpful. He quickly and knowledgeably acknowledged the problem and how to address it. The work was carried out within 4 days of us receiving the quote for the work, and we were given advice for what to expect over the coming 10 days. Quick, polite, efficient, communicative, knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone.

My name is Peter Higgs and I started PGH Pest Control in 2008 with the help of the Prince's Trust.

Since then, I have grown the business and have employed a fantastic team of full-time staff. We are known for being able to solve difficult pest issues and finding the root cause of the problem.


We have a wide range of customers from businesses and homes in cities to standard rural properties to smallholdings. Some clients we help on a one-off call-out when they need us. We also offer our routine pest control contracts where we will make several visits per year to prevent and control if needed any issues to which stops those annoying pests from establishing!


We also protect commercial premises such as shopping malls, waste centres, restaurants and other food sites, places of learning and leisure centres. 


We pride ourselves on our work, customer service and keeping up with new changes in the industry with the continued professional development of our technical staff.


Our mission


Is to reduce pesticide and rodenticide use by controlling pests first and then providing effective pest prevention and physical proofing work to buildings and areas that were infested. For example, we even move honeybees from structures without destroying them and re-home them with the other honeybees we keep. Sometimes insecticides and toxic methods are not the best way to solve your problem!
