Rising damp - damproofing work
9Verified ReviewProkil have done 2 lots of damproofing work in my lounge where there were rising damp problems. They arrived on time, did the work thoroughly & efficiently, left the site clean and tidy, also polite and courteous. I think they are Property Care Association members so can be highly recommended for a very good job.

This time it was under the bay window and the walls on either side in our sitting room. All work was carried out efficiently and the area left tidy each day and it was donated to a high standard. 0Verified ReviewQuoted £2500 approximately to rectify damp problem on an internal wall . Cost of survey circa £95. Completely failed to identify the cause of the water ingress. Fortunately decided to use a qualified builder for a second opinion. He identified the damp ingress from the roof felt failing causing water to run into the cavity. At no time was the roof inspected. Had the work been done as per their quotation we would be back to square one in no time.

1Verified ReviewTerrible experience - avoid! Deeply unprofessional, poor quality work and lack of knowledge. They rushed the job and didn't prepare the surface properly - now the plaster is cracked and crumbling away from the wall. Despite giving a guarentee, they refused to put it right. I then raised a complaint with the PCA, and an independent surveyor has confirmed that their work was to blame. One year on they have still not fixed the problem. So much hassle that they could have avoided by being professional from the start. Don't believe a word they say - their guarentee is worhless.
