• Taking down of load baring wall in 350 year old slate built house.

  R&K construction, were very prompt from the first contact, asked for photos to gauge the job, visited site, gave detailed breakdown of the quote and a reasonable timescale to complete. They were bang on with everything they said, on time, on budget, pleasant and respectful throughout the project. They knew what they needed to do, they knew what they needed to bring with them and subsequently into the house. When the job was Complete they made sure I was satisfied with the work done and the quality. Before they submitted the bill for the remainder of the cost after the deposit.

• Major project to construct bay window which involved underpinning old cottage wall.

  Exceptionally high standard of workmanship and diligence. Professional throughout the project. The additional underpinning work was completed to the highest standards and received complimentary feedback from the local council buildings inspector. The new bay window has transformed the house internally and externally. Very satisfying experience and wouldn’t hesitate to employ R&K Construction again.

• Knocking two bedrooms into one

  Rob and Ken have been the best experience we've had with Checkatrade. They have a no-nonsense approach and are real grafters. They have advised throughout the way and been really fast to respond on whatsapp and have project managed the job across multiple trades. A real pleasure to work with. They also have a great network of quality trades and we've got trusted tradespeople for every area. The only worry I have with a positive review is they'll be too busy for the next job we need them for as we won't go anywhere else for any building work!

• New garage

  Kenny and Rob demolished and removed an old garage and erected a new one putting in an aco drain and making a cover for the inspection pit. They completed the work in stages, each time keeping us up to date, and doing exactly what they said they would. They were both friendly and very efficient and we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone else.
