    Rustic Rural understood the brief from the outset and turned our sketches into reality. We had a full refurb of our downstairs which included Plastering, Flooring, Understair Cupboard, Skirtings and Architraves and Decorative Pilasters, Wood Panelling, New Fireplace Mantel beam and overhauling our Victorian front door. A quotation was provided which clearly set out the scope of works and the team worked efficiently to get the job done! The standard of finish was excellent and we couldn't be more happy with the end product. Nothing was too much trouble!! Thanks Andy, Mick & Laura

  • Bespoke wardrobe under eaves

    Following a loft conversion I had an awkward space under the eaves and no room for a freestanding wardrobe, so I got a quote from Rustic Rural for a bespoke wardrobe and drawers. Andrew came out soon afterwards, and could immediately see how the space could be maximised despite the awkward shape and many odd angles to work around. Most of the build was done off-site so Andrew and Mick were only in the house for a few hours overall, and I'm extremely impressed by the quality and finish of their work. I'll be booking in another bespoke wardrobe from them soon, and can't recommend them enough!

    Andy and Michael were excellent professionals, turned up to the job on time as agreed, was tidy, laid down dust sheets and cleaned up after themselves. The final product was perfection, couldn't find a fault in the craftsmanship. Andy really has a passion and loves his job, you can see this in the work.

My name is Andrew and I‘m the co-founder of Rustic Rural, a family run business based Waingroves, Derbyshire. I run the business along with my wife Laura. As a fellowship member of the institute of carpenters, my standards are high. I have always had a passion for being creative with wood and an eye for design which has become the essence of Rustic Rural.


I really do believe that every piece of furniture in a person’s home is a work of art. I take pride in every single piece we create, working with you to design the perfect pieces to suit you and your home. Specialising in all hardwood and softwood interior and exterior furniture, we create unique made to measure designs as well as standard pieces and can manage a whole room/house or commercial project if this is what you require.
