  Steve from SCL electrical did an outstanding job. Most thorough in his investigation of what had gone wrong with our electrics, and rectifying important problems with our fuse board. He is a font of knowledge, could not recommend him enough. Most knowledgeable and brilliant at explaining technical matters. Fair and transparent about pricing and setting realistic expectations. We'd call him again anytime.

  Steve was very pleasant. We had problems with supply no bonding or earthing and a number of faults Steve fixed all problems including new consumer unit. Explained everything as he went along. Would definitely recommend.

• Washing machine lead and plug

  Having used SCL in the past and been happy with their work, I called SCL this morning after discovering a leak in the washing machine and on pulling it out to locate leak discovered lead to plug was too short and resulted in damage to plug and machine. Steve managed to fit me in this afternoon and not only extended the plug lead but also fix damage to washing machine. Again I have no hesitation in recommending SCL and Steve for his thoroughness, professionalism and friendliness.

  SCL came out due to lights continuing to fuse. After considerable inspection SCL's advice was to rewire. On inspection of old wiring, this advice transpired to be good. The job was undertaken immediately to a very high professional standard. Some of the rewiring being surface and some integral in order to reduce the costs but still looking good. Two new consumer boards were installed and amps coming into the house upgraded. All light sockets were installed using the modern quinetics. Both Steve and Arron were very professional and friendly.
