  Steve was quick to respond to my initial message and had a positive, 'can do' attitude from the start. He adapted to revised plans (after planning refusal) and requoted. He suggested smart ideas that maximised space and gave sound advice throughout the build. The SMR core team of builders and the tiler were excellent. They had a strong work ethic and worked at an impressive pace (and they were fun to have around). The old house threw us some challenges which added pressure to the workload, timings and budget but which were resolved quickly and efficiently. SMR did a great job.

  Steve and his team, Matt and Phil, did a fantastic job, on time and on budget with no corners cut. They were on time every day, rain (lots of) and shine, and take real pride in their work. Thanks to Steve's project management, deliveries were all on time so no delays - it helps that he seems to know everybody in the industry. Steve has great ideas, which we adopted, and the final result was even better than we imagined. Thanks again Steve and the team!

  Steve and his team (Phil and Matt) are fantastic. So friendly, genuine and great at what they do. I would highly recommend Steve to anyone. Standard of work carried out was high and nothing was ever too much trouble. Before Steve started work it was supposed to be a simple garage conversion, but because we liked and trusted him so much I have now asked him to sort out other electrical issues in the home, re model our driveway, fix a hole in the ceiling, and recommend someone to re render the house. Steve went above an beyond, very happy.

  Steve, Matt and Phil are an absolute class act. They arrived promptly each day, got on with the work and completed it to a very high standard. We moved into a house that hadn't had much done to it for a very long time and it threw up some interesting challenges, but nothing that Steve and his team couldn't solve. Steve was always easy to get hold of and quickly sorted the few snagging issues we had. We are delighted with the finished result and we'll definitely be getting in touch with Steve when we take on our next project!

  We commenced our renovation/extension build in July 2020 and employed Steve Robert to undertake the extensive building project. Due to the nature of the renovation and extension the work took approximately 7 months including considerable ground work and landscaping. We are extremely grateful to Steve and Matt who were very reliable throughout the build, always giving excellent advice in complicated circumstances and providing creative proposals to ensure the property was completed to the highest quality. We are happy to recommend him to those considering a building project, small or large.
