    Ash was our chosen contractor, a likeable and amusing young man who knows his trade, he offered ourselves a variety of solutions to our problems. He demonstrated a good work ethic and gave the job his full attention, he negotiated some useful discount with local suppliers on our behalf. The work on this project was heavy and invariably wet and messy and he smiled throughout. Well done Ash , as you know we’ve got more to do so you will be back. Dave and Mags

    I just couldn't see what we could do with our rear cottage garden but Ash came out and after a couple of ideas back and forth, came up with a plan which has given us a usable area to the rear of the cottage that I never envisaged. Access was difficult to say the least, space was tight and the work was on land that hadn't been touched for over 20 years. Any challenges that arose were sorted and the area was transformed over a 3 week period. Thanks Ash

    My garden was a bog and only grow weeds, it didn't drain snd was not useable. Along came Ash from stone and wood and totally change not only my garden but my life. To say I love it is an understatement, I'm out there all the time. He worked single handed on what was a legalistic nightmare, all materials delivered to front of house and about 20 steps to rear of house. Any ideas I had or Ash thought of we would bounce off each others and both decided what was best. Excellent job and a very hard worker.

    I found Ashley Mason the most pleasant and punctual man I have ever had the pleasure of employing His workmanship was superb down to great detail and excellent finish nothing was a problem if I changed something or a snag cropped up he fixed it ,he was also very strict with the wholesalers re wood if some turned up and it was. Not to his standard back it went no argument.I found his labour charges very reasonable especially as wood was going up last summer by the day. I would thoroughly recommend Wood &Stone landscaping to anyone who requires a job of decking ,landscaping or stone work

I am a multi-skilled landscaper and I pride myself on delivering the highest quality of workmanship with a professional friendly attitude. 

I work alongside my clients to help them design, create and build their own unique gardens. Having the knowledge insight and expertise in all areas of hard landscaping, I will help, advise and guide my clients, step by step through every possible option that can be achieved in their garden in order to achieve their desired project.

By only having to discuss and deal with myself on the project, rather than dealing with multiple trades, I strive to give my clients a hassle free experience that they can enjoy and feel proud to be a part of.

I always work within a time frame and with all budgets in mind, whether this be a simple gate repair or a whole garden makeover. By organising all the materials myself through local companies and trades at the best prices, the clients pay direct to the suppliers with no additional costs.


Masonry work- brick/ block, retaining walls, boundary walls

Stonework -new and rebuilds, lime pointing.

I can advise the best solution for you.

I will price all the material and labour, using local builders merchants in Torbay e.g. Timber Stores UK Ltd and Wiltshires, getting a reference number for all the materials with builders merchants taking payment directly. 

If you’re happy to go ahead I will give you a estimated start date, dependent on my other on-going projects.

If work is anticipated to take longer than two weeks I will invoice for the work every two weeks, otherwise I will invoice once the job is completed.
