  • Engine Misfiring

    Our Renault Captur had an orange service light and was misfiring. Terry came out earlier than first arranged which was excellent. He diagnosed the problem (needed a new coil) went and sourced the part and came straight back to fix it. Coudn't fault his work. Terry is friendly, efficient and reliable. Would definitely recommend him. He's our first call should we need help again.

  • Replace 2 tyres and battery

    My car had been idle for 5 months and after I had a, fall and a head injury and was, unable to drive. Terry responded to my request immediately and said he'd be here at 8.00am. I had to be in Hayling by 11.00 am and was, going there by bus and ferry so Terry offered to be hers by 7.00 am and was here dead on time. He was, very pleasant, but cheerful and polite and did an excellent job and the cost was very reasonable. I would have to recommend him to anybody

  • Fitted aux belt and new tensioner

    Terry is a friendly and helpful guy. He came out to fit new aux belts and then sourced a new tensioner and came back to fit. Looks like more serious issues with the car and Terry made phone call to a local garage so further investigations can be done.

  • MoT and Minor Repair

    have used Terry for a fair few years now to sort a ' Spring ' MoT and a pre ' Winter ' service on existing and previous car always helpful and just gets the job done .. if there are to be surprise costs, Terry explains reasons ... the minor repair at the MoT was a dislodged fog lamp .. rather than advise a new replacement unit was required to be fitted, Terry was able to reinstall the existing lamp .. I've always sensed Terry has no interest in undertaking and charging for unnecessary work etc

Terry and the team at TPM Ltd (The Personal Mechanic Limited) have excessive years in the Motor Trade with combined knowledge and experience within the Mechanical Motor trade. We are highly respected and recommended by several owned and national companies across the UK.

Terry left school and immediately joined his father’s general garage business based in London learning the trade on the tools, worked his way though the company and became a Director back in the 1980's. The company is still trading to this day.

Highly experienced generalist, extremely skilled engineer/mechanic, with the capability of providing auto services both to the Trade and Private Clients with a wealth of vehicle mechanical knowledge spanning over 40 years. TPM undertake a variety of mechanical works from vehicle servicing including but not limited to: Brakes, Discs, Full and Interim Servicing, Clutches, Timing Belts, Vehicle Code Reads.
