‘After many years of being employed in the building trade, it became clear to me that although I loved the work that I was doing, I didn’t very often get the chance to give customers the level of service that they deserved. Sometimes it seemed as though the customer relationship was sacrificed for speed and convenience.’

I’m Tom Langham - owner of TJL Kitchens, a serial golf lover and fiancé to Arianne. I was born locally in Canterbury and I have lived in Kent for most of my life. I’ve fitted hundreds of new and replacement kitchens in new build houses, period homes, professional catering establishments and probably every other type of kitchen you can think of. I’m also a very keen on carp fisherman!

After years of hard graft and working for other people, I decided it was time to make a leap of faith and with the knowledge that I had gained over time, started my own business in 2020. When you choose TJL Kitchens, you’re not just getting a kitchen fitted. I work in partnership with talented designers to realise your dream kitchen space, which I then bring to life with careful, considered and tidy craftsmanship. 

It doesn’t matter whether you have a compact kitchen or a space large enough for a football team; I relish a challenge and I very much enjoy providing creative, quality solutions to ensure that you have the ideal, individual space that’s right for you and your budget. 

From the very first point of contact, I take pride in giving a professional and personal service to ALL of my customers. Before any work starts, we will agree exactly what will be done, how long it will take and how much it will cost you, giving you complete peace of mind.

I only have one aim with every single kitchen that I fit, which is to make sure that you are thrilled, not just with the end result, but also the journey in getting there – a satisfied customer is the best form of marketing for a business and most of our work comes from word of mouth referrals.  

I work across the county of Kent, mainly in the Canterbury, Dover, Whitstable, Ashford and Faversham areas. I am also available for work on commercial premises.
