  • Isolating valve and ball cock replacement fittings

    Mal answered my request promptly as I had marked it as urgent. He discussed the problem with me and arrived with everything necessary for the repair. The ball cock was not lifting enough to stop water from filling the cistern so leading to an overflow. I could not turn off the water as the isolating valve to my toilet cistern was not turning off, so I needed a replacement. Mal is a really friendly man, and knows his job. He made all the necessary repairs and whilst waiting to make sure everything was working smoothly before he left, he gave me excellent advice.

    Mal and his apprentice Steve showed up on time and replaced the push fit joints that were wrongly fitted to chrome pipes which had come apart and caused flooding to most of downstairs. Mal fitted in standard copper pipes with soldered and compressed joints and he also fitted two isolation valves which would avoid having to switch my main water supply off should an issue like this arise again. He also gave me a clear summary on how my water system works. Mal has a lot of plumbing knowledge and I would definitely be going to him for any future plumbing work in my house.

    Jamal did a great job to fix the incorrectly installed Barratt's built home boiler condensate pipe. Barratt's used a brass elbow join, when they should have used plastic to prevent leaks. He also cleaned the internal pipes for better flow.

Hi, I'm Jamal, but Mal for short. A bit about me; I have been plumbing over for over 17 years as well as fitting kitchens and bathrooms. As well as Checkatrade, a lot of my business is word of mouth with recommendations from happy customers. 

I aim to please all of my clients and always do my upmost best to meet and maximise your budget, if you have one. At the same time I'll also offer my expertise to make sure you get the best for your moneys worth when purchasing.
