• Dry rot in subfloor

  We were so lucky to have found David. We had dry rot in our wooden subfloor under one bedroom, and we thought maybe it had spread to a second room. David's quote and price we very reasonable and he completed the work quickly with minimum of fuss, and it was clear that he was an expert. He then was very honest and trustworthy regarding the second room: he could easily have told us the whole lot needed replacing, but he did some investigation, told us the minimum amount that needed replacing and worked with us to keep the cost down.

  Dave turned up as arranged and carried out the works to a high quality. Work consisted of installing 2 airbricks to the front of our property and treat the existing brickwork with a damp treatment covering. Also re-pointed damp course. Very thorough and tidy. Will call on Dave's services again.

• Dampness investigation

  Dave was fantastic identifying the root cause of the damp corner in our downstairs toilet, and installing an air brick for inproved ventilation for a very reasonable price. We had two other quotes from check a trade both of which said the issue was rising damp quoting £800 - £6000+, when we in fact have a leaky pipe. Next step is to get a plumber to fix the pipe. I would not hesitate to recommend Dave.

• Treating a damp wall and work to prevent future damp penetration

  Dave carried out work to get rid of damp penetration from a blocked downpipe. He inserted damp proof course, put in additional airbricks, cut a wider channel from the base of the wall and filled it with gravel to help prevent any further damp ingress. He also redirected the downpipe further from the house wall. Dave is 'old school' - knowledgeable, informative and efficient. We wouldn't hesitate to use him again and to recommend him.
