    I have been impressed by all the team who have visited my house. They have been helpful, courteous, efficient and competent. The job was completed on time by Dale who worked very hard. Each day he explained what work he was doing and when to expect him the following day. The job was not straightforward as my house is old which poses various problems. Dale’s standard of workmanship was very high and I am very pleased with the results.

  • Bathroom version to walk-in shower room

    Conversion of bathroom to walk-in shower room with comfort height WC and basin with vanity unit completed, but basin and vanity supplied not new. A brown stain runs from left back corner down and around the plug discharge. The under side of the basin is heavily soiled. The chrome finish on the vanity door handles has sub-surface discolouration. There is no lifting of the chrome plating the surface is smooth. The hinged wooden seat as yet not used but when wetted under the shower discoloured water issued from the adjustable support legs via the adjustment holes. Adjustment sleeves are black.

    AHM Installations removed my bath and fitted a shower, replaced hand basin, toilet, wall tiles and flooring. The fitter, Andy Joyce, was knowledgeable, professional and cheerful, replying clearly to all my questions. His work was very neat and he was considerate, doing quiet tasks when I had an online meeting. The house was left clean and tidy. I would certainly use this company again.

    We used AHM to install a shower room at my mother’s retirement property. The finished product is very good but it took seven weeks, rather than the promised two weeks to complete. Anne was the saving grace as she ensured that concerns and faults were dealt with, but a plethora of issues such as the shower unit not attached securely, a broken toilet seat, a leak under the basin, the heated towel rail not attached to the electrics etc. Etc. Rather spoiled the experience. However, we did get there in the end and my mother is now happy with her new shower room.

    From the tone of the advertisement, the visit from the surveyor, the call from Head Office to the departure of the plumber who did the work, I felt that my opinions were heard and genuinely respected by all involved. As luck would have it, the installation coincided with a heat-wave, and the south-facing bathroom was a furnace. The hard-working plumber didn't complain, slacken his pace, or fail to be courteous and considerate. I now have a lovely, safe bath for the first time since moving in six years ago. Thank you, Ahm.

AHM Installations provides bespoke bathing solutions for anyone with reduced or limited mobility to regain independence and confidence when bathing.  


We were founded by Simon and Julie Symcox in 1999 who together, had extensive experience in the nursing and mobility industries. They wanted to create an accessible bathroom company which people could trust to provide expert advice and to create bespoke bathrooms based on individuals' needs, circumstances and budget. 


AHM is still a family-run company but we've grown considerably over the last 24 years and we now install accessible bathrooms across the UK, becoming a trusted name within the sector.


We pride ourselves on our caring ethos, with elderly relatives ourselves, we understand the importance of finding a company which treats customers like human beings, charges fair rates and operates honestly. We don’t believe in ‘hard selling’ and we will not contact you repeatedly to pressure you into proceeding with an order.
