  • Surveying asbestos in old cottage

    I contacted Ashbee after some plaster fell down in a bedroom in my old cottage. Because some of the plasterwork had been done in the 1940s-50s I was worried that it might contain asbestos. I wanted to check this before asking anyone to repair it. I also needed to check the asbestos content of the soffit board outside the cottage. The surveyor from Ashbee were wonderfully helpful and reassuring, and arrived the day after I called them for advice. He was friendly, professional and reassuring. I received a comprehensive report very promptly after the survey. I highly recommend Ashbee.

    Ashbee were very quick and friendly in all communications, creating clear expectations which they delivered. Their survey report was detailed and indicated a high level of professional competence This matters as asbestos is potentially dangerous and those in charge of property as well as asbestos removal staff need to know and be able to demonstrate that every precaution has been taken as the law requires. In our listed building dating from 1450, access was not easy to the roof space but Ashbee took great care to avoid any disturbance or damage.

    Ashbee Solutions were fantastic in organising and carrying out some asbestos testing on our artex ceilings. Even came back a couple of days later to check something I had questions about at no extra cost. Would recommend them to anyone looking for asbestos test or removal.
