  Steve was extremely professional in all my dealings with him in the lead up to the actual project. He provided me with various options I required to complete the project in the specified time line within budget. Steve is an incredibly skilled carpenter whose attention to detail is easily observed in the quality of the finished product. His workspace was always neat and he cleaned up every afternoon to ensure there was not excessive dust in an already cluttered environment. I would endorse Steve’s work whole heartedly!!! Great job - thanks Steve

• Understairs cupboards

  Steve come to our home to survey within a time which was convenient for us, after explaining the ideas we had, Steve designed us bespoke fitted cupboards and provided us with ideas and images of past installations which helped us to see the type of finished cupboards we could achieve. Works was completed to a very high standard , very tidy (tidy after each days work). Very professional and friendly service, will be using for more works going forward!

  Steve built us a media unit to cover one whole wall of our new kitchen extension. He advised on all aspects of sizes, access, design and even amended the design to accommodate the new flooring that was being laid after installation of the unit. The work was completed to a very high standard, and in a quick timeframe. Steve was was polite, knowledgeable, accommodated all our ideas whilst advising on things we hadn’t considered, like the size of each aperture and what was intended to go in each finished section. Above all, he was very clean and tidy and we are thrilled with the end result.

  We have used Chatfield Carpentry before for built in wardrobes in our bedroom and were so pleased there was no question about using them again for our entertainment unit in our family room. Excellent design, punctual and extremely clean and tidy and the end result is amazing and on budget. The quality or workmanship is exceptional, would recommend Chatfield Carpentry without hesitating.

• Constructing and fitting built-in bookcase

  This is the second time we have used Steve for carpentry work. The first time was to construct and fit built in wardrobes. The decorator that painted the wardrobes said they were some of the best carpentry work he had seen. We are delighted with the built in bookcase. Steve's attention to detail is second to none and the completed work was exactly what we wanted. We highly recommend Steve.
