  Downside are a brilliant company who I highly recommend. From initial chat, to lots of advice along the way - they have made the whole process a pleasure (and who can say that about building work?!) Brian and Stuart are so 'on it' - always popping in to discuss the works, any issues and the plans. The builders always on time, and they care about what they do. Sub contractors also friendly and speedy. My only concern in recommending them is that they will be too busy to come back for phase 2 of our project! lol

  Downside were fantastic from start to finish. Having used them on a different property 12 years ago we had no hesitation calling them again. It was great to see many of the guys are still part of the team which is testament to the way Downside is run. Project management is seamless, the work is excellent and everyone on the project either directly for Downside or brought in by them was friendly, polite and very good at what they do. We would wholeheartedly recommend Downside to anyone. A proper building company brilliantly run producing excellent results on time, in budget and with a smile.

• Detached house loft conversion in Ewell.

  Stuart, Brian and the gang were all great. The plumbers, roofers and other trades brought in were the same. Easy to work with, polite, tidy and work finished to a high standard. Having building work done is never easy and there are always a few bumps in the road but Downside made it as painless as possible and it really was a completely different experience to building work we have had in the past. We really could not recommend Downside highly enough.

  I would absolutely recommend Stuart and the team. Each person that was in our house was polite and considerate, work was completed to a very high standard, and communication was excellent throughout. We totally trusted them for every aspect of the job.

  Really pleased with the build. Stuart, Brian and Nicki were fantastic to deal with. Very reliable and on the case. Any concerns they are straight on it. The project was managed great. Very organised. Always had different trades lined up, never a day where nothing was happening. Every single trade person who came in was always polite and friendly. That really makes the whole build a nice experience. Really pleased with the final result. Would definitely recommend.
