• Stripped and retiled my semi and my neighbours, removing the chimney stack.

  Neighbour had issues with his roof and my adjoining roof needed a lot of maintenance, so the decision was made to have the roof retiled including the complete removal of the chimney stack. Henry Matthews Roofing Maidstone was recommended by a surveyor. I contacted him, and at very short noticed, he came and assessed both properties, and we received a quote outlining the nature of work needed to be carried out. My neighbour and I agreed, and Henry arranged everything. He arrived on the 25th March, in atrocious weather for the next 7 days. And what a fine job!

• Repairing guttering and downpipe

  We were kept informed throughout the whole process, from updates on expected arrival time, through all the stages of the work actually done, to a prompt delivery of the invoice, and acknowledgement of payment. The work was completed quickly, efficiently, and cleanly - quite an achievement for unblocking a downpipe! Additional small services were offered and supplied - sealing a crack, and also the site of attempted access to the loft space, fitting a cage over the inlet. All in all, it was a very pleasant encounter, and we would not hesitate to use his services again.

• Chimneys, tiles, facia boards, soffits and guttering all sorted.

  We felt Henry quoted fairly and gave good advice on what was needed to be done. The new UPVC facias and soffits were a quality job. Care was taken on the roof as some of the tiles were Victorian. The chimneys were in a poor condition and Henry has now restored these. He left the job nice and tidy and even washed our roof lantern. We will definitely use Henry again and recommend him to our friends.
