  • A problem door hinge

    Michael came promptly, found what was the problem (less serious than we had feared), and fixed it very efficiently. Altogether a good experience, and a pleasant one. And the invoice was very acceptable.

  • Hardwood Arch Entrance Repair

    I would highly recommend Heritage Doors and Windows. I had some severe rot damage on a large hardwood arched entrance, which has now been sympathetically repaired and updated with multipoint locking system and hardware. Michael looked after the job personally and his attention to detail and craftsmanship is excellent. Very talented guys and a pleasure to deal with.

  • Making and fitting wall panelling

    Micheal and Andrew did a great job custom making and fitting the wall panelling in our dining room. After having a consultation with them before hand, providing different samples for us to have a look at and drawing out the positioning on the walls, they built the panels off site and fit them the following weekend. Really good communication, lovely guys, great quality and workmanship, clear expectations and no surprises. Would definitely recommend!

  • Replacing a large fireplace mantle.

    Highly recommended. Difficult job but didn’t give up until completed. Replaced an unsuitable mantle with a beautifully fitted and finished oak mantle. Attention to detail and craftsmanship superb. Very pleased with result.

  • Routed and then fitted front door

    After 2 years of nobody being able to fix my front door issue - Mike and his team sorted the problem within a couple of hours. A replacement door was sent with incorrect routing. Heritage quickly saw what routing was needed, did it on site and then fitted the door to with no issues as at all. Professional, reliable and good value - just wish I'd known about these guys a year ago.

Heritage Doors and Windows is a new company set up in January 2020, but we have been manufacturing bespoke products for over 20 years working for other companies.

Michael is the Director who has progressed his career from starting at the age of 16 as an apprentice, being taught his craft by former joiners using traditional methods. Michael has worked for companies and has also been self-employed working on building sites and for the last 12 years held the position of Workshop Manager leading a team of joiners, apprentices and contractors. Michael decided to take the plunge and set up his own business in January 2020 in order to be more client focused and work on bespoke contracts. 

We are not restricted to the type of joinery we undertake, completing projects ranging from 

Internal and external hand made doors.

Windows. Traditional Box sash, casement, storm proof and any bespoke.

Furniture, skirting, architraves.

Porches.

Staircases.

Door canopy’s and pediments.

 

Always specialising in the more unusual bespoke designs.

 

We are a small friendly team based in Yorkshire but prepared to travel for the right projects. 

We are more than willing to provide free estimates for your project to hopefully be able to provide the high end product you require.
