  • Full renovation of flat

    Richie delivered the job extremely well, and on time. Excellent communication, very good management and coordination of the various team members (electrican, painter, plumber, plasterer etc). His good relationships with local suppliers were very helpful too. Richie’s carpentry skills gave us a fabulous kitchen, beautiful fitted cupboards and we are very happy with the doors and floors. Whenever there were problems he discussed immediately and we could sort things out on a timely basis. I thoroughly recommend Richie as a reliable and honest builder and carpenter, who delivers.

    Very good experience - Richard is skilled, trustworthy, offers solutions and ideas, is good on communication and kept to budget and timescale. He ripped out old flat, installed new bathroom and kitchen, sound and wall energy insulation, laid engineered wood flooring, used carpentry skills throughout eg new inbuilt bedroom and hall cupboards, did some plumbing work, and oversaw painting and was on site for re wiring and double glazing of the flat, I would unhesitatingly recommend.

    Richard did a fabulous job fitting our new bathroom. Once the old stuff was ripped out, some nasty surprises emerged requiring additional work and cost but Richard communicated clearly and honestly about this throughout. His attention to detail is excellent and the end result is stunning. A friendly guy to have around - wasn’t fazed at all by our over-enthusiastic cockapoo.

Richard Hames has been producing finely crafted renovation works in and around the beautiful city of Bath for over 30 years and has taken his work overseas to a number of locations including the Bahamas.

He was born in Bath where he still lives and has gained a wealth of knowledge of the buildings, both listed and non-listed in and around Bath.

Richard takes the commitment of satisfying his clients very seriously. He listens, designs and works with the client to transform an initial seed of an idea into reality.

His work includes hand made bespoke fitted units, kitchens, bathrooms, stairs, floors, windows, building extensions and loft conversions.
