    Excellent experience with Dutch from start to finish. We picked 'old Victorian chimney sweep' because of all of the great reviews and I am now very happy to add to them. Dutch was always on time, clean and professional and his workmanship was excellent (quote was very competitive too) We had an old gas fire removed in our new home and installed a beautiful new stove and hearth. The job was completed in 1 week!(across 3 days). Believe the many, many reviews! 5* all day long! Thanks again Dutch, See you in a year for our 1st sweep!

    We wanted woodburners installed in 2 dormant chimneys (ca. 120 years old), and a further 6 redundant chimneys capped. The job is inevitably and unavoidably quite messy but Dutch managed to keep the disruption to an absolute minimum, incl ongoing removal of debris. He and his assistant are clearly highly experienced professionals who know everything there is to know about all aspects of chimney work. Very impressive attention to detail and finish which has transformed and modernised our home whilst complementing its character. Advice: don't bother shopping around; you won't find anything better

    I knew of The Old Victorian Chimney Sweep through someone who uses Dutch to sweep their chimney. Dutch was great to deal with, from the time he came out for a quote through to the installation. And there was no problem when I had to push back the installation date twice, including once just a few days before he was due to install. The installation went perfectly and the fitting is so much neater than when someone else installed stoves at my previous home. And it's nice that the installation was done by the person who I will use to do the annual sweep. Thanks so much Dutch!

    Spoke to Dutch in December when the new stove was being delivered, agreed a date and price for installation, and waited for the big day. Today was that day and it has been worth the wait.     Dutch removed our old inefficient gas fire and replaced it with a wood burning stove. Looks like it has always been there. So happy with the result, was a tidy worker with everything covered to keep off dust. Friendly family company who I just can’t find any fault with, the whole process was simple and quite 100% accurate. Really pleased we chose him from the other check a trade reviews we read.
