  Francisco, Dan and Gary carried out several pieces of work for me including taking down a wall, removing a massive stone fireplace and rebuilding a new fireplace, plastering all my ceilings and fireplace and doing lots of electrical works including fixing some problems created by another electrician (not part of FM Construction). In all areas I could not fault Francisco and his team. They have been so helpful, polite, tidy and hard-working and the quality of the finish in all areas is outstanding. I really can't recommend them highly enough and I'm really glad I found them through this site

• Loft Extension

  We have been most impressed by Fran and his team's approach to the work to convert our loft to 2 bedrooms with an en suite, they were courteous and considerate, listened to what we were aiming to achieve and worked hard to realise it. Living in an old house in a conservation area meant that things were not always straightforward but Fran took it all in his stride and we are delighted with the result. Nothing was too much trouble for Fran and his team, we would highly recommend FM Maintenance.

  An architect drew up the plans for the renovations which included removal of external and internal walls, underfloor heating, kitchen renovation and installation of a new downstairs WC, new bathroom renovation upstairs, new windows and much more. We added quite a bit of additional work from the first quote as well as Fran identifying issues that needed addressing along the way. Which Fran kept us informed of costs, and all the additional hard work the team did really paid off. Fran and his team took it all in their stride and did an excellent job. We are very happy with the end result.

  We saw the reviews and thought Francisco was reliable and honest. Agreed costs and a start date, but a week before commencing he pulls out of our job without a valid reason, and fails to respond in respect of returning the the keys. In the end I had to report him to the local authorities, which is when he finally contacted me. Worse is that he didn't have the decency to apologise, or even attend himself to return the keys. Wasted my time and has delayed my job!

• Loft conversion in master bedroom and ensuite with dormer

  From the outset Francisco was very clear about what could be achieved and was able to complete this conversion despite a very tight ceiling height. He was very knowledgeable about different options and by using a different flooring system this was achieved where others said it wasn't. He took me around some current projects before we agreed to work starting. His team were reliable and considerate, and he communicated well throughout, explaining different options and was quick to sort anything we weren't sure about. The end result is fantastic and we are delighted with the value for money.
