  We have had a very positive experience with Alan and his team over the last couple of months. Great communication all the way from Alan. We always knew what stage we were at and were also notified a few days in advance for any information we needed to get together. Very pleased with the quality of work and his team's efficiency and would not hesitate to use or recommend Parkes Building and Construction in the future.

• Time wasted

  To his credit the gentleman turned up on time and inspected the property which was in need of total renovation. He assured us that his company had the necessary skills to complete the works and that the job could commence this year. He asked for more details (room dimensions, photographs etc) to be emailed to him, which was done with 24 hours but no reply received. After a fortnight I telephoned to ask whether the emails had been received and if more details were required. A month on and there has been no contact from the company. Very disappointed.

  Outstanding experience! Parkes Building and Construction successfully transformed an old, small extension, dated-looking patio and defunct pond. Alan and his multi-skilled team dealt expertly with the three-fold challenge of limited access to the back of our property, a narrow back yard and issues relating to previous extensions.We now have a modern, attractive living space at the back. Regular discussions of on-going work and a friendly, courteous approach were very reassuring features throughout the project. We highly recommend Alan Parkes and team for their professionalism and expertise.

• Garage conversion and new patio

  Absolutely delighted with the whole project. Alan submitted a detailed and competitive quote in accordance with the on site discussion we had had. The team arrived on the agreed date and both parts of the project were delivered without a break in work. The whole of the contract was delivered by the skilled in house team which included bricklayers, carpenters, roofers , electricians etc, all of whom were capable of turning their hands to other tasks. Alan was always prompt in dealing with any queries I had ( there weren’t many) and the whole team were friendly and courteous throughout. Perfect.
