    My gas supplier (Ovo) replaced my meter with a smart meter. But their engineer didn't like the look of my (very old) cooker, so he capped the meter, leaving me with no supply. Alex was able to visit me quite promptly, and was helpful and courteous. He tested the cooker and confirmed that it was unsafe, disconnected it, then uncapped the meter to reconnect my boiler etc back to the supply. Apparently this situation happens a lot. Anyway, the job was done well and got things going again, so I was satisfied.
