Enquiry for a log burner

Following initial enquiry to A W Sweeps and Stoves for a log burner supply and fit, I was asked to send photos of my fire place. That's where the communication ended, never got an answer if my fire place was suitable of if they could do the job. I can't recommend A W Sweeps and Stoves.

Alan was responsive and came out to quote for the job and explain everything. He replied to emails and questions and was helpful in guiding us in choosing a product. Over 2 days of fitting the workmen were polite and considerate and caused no bother at all. Alan took time to demonstrate the stove and go through how to use it properly. Bringing some wood, kindling and firelighters was a bonus too. The only thing I would say was less than brilliant was that rubbish was left for us to clear. This was in the agreement but a different quote we got said they'd remove the debris whereas these didn't.

Alan kindly changed the time of my appointment to fit in with my working schedule and arrived promptly. He cleaned the chimney quickly and efficiently. I was concerned about the fireback and the flue but having checked he explained that no additional work - it was perfectly safe. He did advise me to purchase carbon monoxide alarms for the room with the fireplace and the bedroom above because I have an unlined flue. I have no hesitation in recommending him.
