  The project commenced Jan 24 and completed in March converting garage space into a Utility Room and a Games Room. MJC was onsite throughout the build undertaking all works and managing subcontractors. He worked closely with us to ensure the requirement spec was fully met. His quality of work is excellent. In between visits the site was left functional, clean and tidy. Building control signed off at various stages and were completely satisfied with MJC competence and the standard of work carried out. We are delighted within the end result and with no hesitation would recommend MJC builders.

• Bathroom refurb

  I originally got Mat over to quote for a total bathroom refurb ….. I was unsure of what to do but Mat had so many great ideas . I’m so pleased we went with Mat . He did a fabulous job , clean and tidy , a really professional job . Really could not of been happier . Polite , hardworking to get the job finished on time . Highly recommend MJ Chance Builders .

• Garden refurb

  Matt and his team did a brilliant job . Had great ideas and keep us updated every step of the way . On time , tidy . Not an easy job but made an excellent job of the works needed . Would highly recommend. Thanks Matt will definitely be using you in the future . So great to find an honest , hard working builder .

• Drainage and paving grassed areas

  The poorly done drainage did not show up for a year and his work caused more damage. A new builder fitted aco drains. He only completed a small part of the other work estimated for, which included a patio near our pond and a far too steep slope, plus erected a flat-pack summer house. This was unstable and had to be braced,plus the roof refelted. He was very slow and started asking for money every 9 days. Our impression was that nothing was planned or organised. He took a large portion of our Equity Release and also several thousand pounds of our insurance money without doing the work.

• Investigated damp area and did all repair work

  Matt was a joy to have around. He investigated the damp area, found various issues and did all the necessary repairs and re plastered and decorated the area. He kept me informed at every stage of the work, was thorough and cleaned up beautifully. I would highly recommend him. He will be my first port of call for any future jobs.

  WE arranged for an extension with MJ chance (Sudbury) All his work and services was completed to a high standard. I would certainly recommend him as a builder very professional through out on site. I was pleased with checkatrade after contacting them, I received a response from M J Chance the same day
