• Garage conversion/small extension and patio

  Simon's hard-working core team and other specialists brought in as required did a conversion/small extension of our garage into a shower/utility room and a study/bedroom. All lovely people to have working here and we were very pleased with the work. All very well co-ordinated. So then we asked them to do a new patio and drain. Very nicely done.

  From the outset, Simon and his colleagues exercised professionalism and dedication. Their workmanship is exemplary, their timekeeping was always as agreed, and the attention to detail has been thoughtful and precise. Throughout the entire build, everyone worked well together and accommodated my creative ideas at all times. I have nothing but praise for this company and I highly recommend them for all manner of different types of work. I was rather anxious about having this work done, but they were always reassuring, helpful and kind. In summary a fantastic company. Thank you to the whole team.

• Single storey extension

  We've completed the build largely on budget and within the timelines explained at the outset, despite difficult weather conditions over winter period. An excellent communicator, very open and transparent with both approach to the build as part of the negotiations, during the construction as to what is happening next and additional works added by me. He's got a great team of guys, and pulls in relevant additional experience tradespeople, as and when needed to maintain the progress, and they have delivered a quality extension to our home. A friendly and amenable team and would hire again.

  SDM have provided a quick, clean and effective service. I was particularly impressed by their time keeping turning up exactly as communicated, so there was no waiting around wondering when the contractors were going to turn up as with no updates on arrival as so often happens with building trades. I would highly recommend SDM Builders to anyone who is considering having alterations done to their home.

  Simon and the team did a fantastic job. From the ground works to the plastering things were completed to a really good standard. Simon was really helpful and talked us through what would need to be done and took the time to answer all our questions and adjust the project to our needs. All completed quickly in time for Christmas.

• Ground floor extension

  Cannot fault them! Their quote was the most competitive, but we actually choose them because of a recommendation from a family friend! They showed up on time and on the days they said they would! Our project stayed on track, both in terms of time and cost! It’s a lovely family run business, Simon and the guys were a pleasure to have around.. very funny and polite! Love a coffee! Will be using them again shortly for a patio/garden room and in the far future for a possible loft conversion!
