Hello & Welcome to Southern Metalcraft. My name is Kevin a fully qualified Fabricator Welder. A family man living in West End with premises at Allington Lane. I Left school in 95 to start a 2 year GNVQ course in Engineering as a machinist & fitter engineer. 

After completing that course I then started a 4 year apprenticeship in fabrication & welding working at Fawley power station & the workshop in Marchwood working on different projects. 

After 2 years moved on to a company called J&J Engineering building & fitting sub sea equipment for cable & wireless amongst making gates, railings, staircases, platforms, structural & mezzanine floors etc. Once qualified went to Holland shipbuilding for 2 years then on my return worked at Portsmouth naval base as a contractor on various crafts including refits & modifications on aluminium sea cats & naval vessels. 

I then worked around different companies as a contractor fabricating & fitting architectural steel work until I built up enough money to finally start my own business which was always a must for me as I didn't get enough job satisfaction working for other companies.  

Southern Metalcraft is now a company with a good reputation that mainly specialises in work for private customers & also provides work for building companies/projects. Commercial work undertaken, Marine, Pipework, Wrought Ironwork, Stainless Steel & Aluminium.
