I found Nick and Tommy on check a trade, and I’ve been dying to write this review as I they are the absolute best, they renovated my entire flat and their knowledge/skills and expertise is invaluable.  I cannot recommend them enough, they finished their job then had to come back to repair bad workmanship in my bathroom done by someone else, they gave up their weekend and worked late to ensure it was all done by our deadline.  Myself and my family and friends after seeing their work and hearing of my experience will all be using them in the future.  Above and beyond exceptional!

Bathroom fitting - overflow pipe repair

The guys did a great job installing all the new components (shower tray, mixer, vanity units, toilet, sink, flooring) and very efficiently removing old parts.  They discussed with me how they approached each step, as well as advising what's possible and even being flexible with my requests.  They also conducted some other small jobs in my place for very reasonable additional charges and made sure it could all be completed within the agreed timeframe.  Would definitely recommend for most people!

Complete removal of the old bathroom and installation of new bathroom

Muqim helped me make the kitchen electrical wires and plugs safe by lifting them off the ground and positioning on the walls, so there is no overlap with the water pipes.  He also did some rejigging for the pipes.  Muqim was very prompt, punctual and polite.  Thank you !

Rewiring kitchen electronics and work to water mains

Came out late to see what was needed and it was fixed two days later.  Not many plumbers will come out on unsocial hours but Akbar came out and helped us out and problem solved.

I cannot recommend Akbari and his team highly enough.  They were reliable, very hard working, courteous and helpful at all times.  They completely refitted my shower room which included installing new basin, shower and lavatory, knocking down walls, tiling and painting.  Akbari was very helpful in giving advice of what equipment to order and offered welcome advice on reconfiguring the room, even though this involved them in a lot of extra work.  They were also very patient with last minute snagging issues.  I will definitely be using their services again.

They failed to turn up or give reason for not coming on Monday 8th January.  He arrived on Tuesday 9th and removed old toilet, but couldn't fit new toilet, as he'd cut a pipe short.  I'd agreed with him that I would leave my door unlocked so he could let himself in on Wednesday 10th.  Sometime between 7.45 and 8.45 he arrived collected his tools, removed the new toilet and left the house unlocked.  He contacted my partner to say he was no longer doing the job as he hadn't been paid up front, which I didn't agree to before he started, but he still came and started the work.  We don't have a toilet now.

Tom did a very good job in our bathroom - replacing and installing a new bath and shower screen.  Communication was excellent and Tom made sure everything had a neat finish at the end, including disposing of all waste.  I recommend and would use again

Tom took on the job which other companies had said was “impossible” without stripping the whole shower wall.  He sourced good quality materials and fitted them efficiently and without any drama, making the whole thing look very straightforward at a fraction of the cost quoted by others.  Extremely pleased with the end result which is both functional and stylish.  No hesitation to recommend.  We will definitely use Tom again.

Installing two shower trays to replace badly fitted “wet room”; new toilet, sink unit and tap.

We hired Tom to rehang a wall hung toilet.  We purchased a new steel frame but toilet would not stay on the wall, so Tom purchased a new floor standing after not being able to do the job.  Tom left without finishing - cracked tiles not replaced and grout not sealed, and also left with my house keys.  I have been trying to get in contact with him for over 3 weeks but no response.  My vanity unit has just fallen off the wall, due to it not being rebolted after some of the work carried out.  I am hoping that Tom will contact me after seeing this to rectify the work, as he seemed very friendly/polite

Rehanging Wall-Hung Toilet

Tom was recommended to me by a friend.  Arranged a time which Tom adhered to.  Exceptionally polite and professional throughout his first visit.  Received the estimate 2 days later.  The quote was very competitive and I agreed.  Work started 3 days later.  The renovation was excellent.  Could not fault him.  Tom will be top of my list when I next need work doing at my property.  Couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

Great work, arrived on time and worked hard throughout.  Tidied after himself.  Really happy with the work and a really nice guy too.  End result was great.

Replace bath and shower screen and associated taps.

The work involved stripping out and rebuilding the base of a shower, the original having leaked and gone rotten.  Tom was helpful not just in carrying out the work efficiently but in envisaging just what would work.  Very happy with the work, would certainly use his services again.
