Boiler repair

Fantastic Service from Lee, Josh & the team. I had a problem with my boiler so I searched Checkatrade & found Harris Heating. I filled out the online request. I got a reply within 1/2 hour & an engineer arrived the next morning. Lee was fantastic. He found the fault (pump failure) within a few minutes. The bad news was that the vertical flue hadn’t been installed properly and was leaking emissions & hence the boiler had to be condemned. He gave me quote for a new boiler & arrived the next day @ 9am. Josh & his team were brilliant. Friendly, professional & competent. 5* service, brilliant.

Gas Boiler replacement 

Excellent service and attentiveness. 

Only issue I experienced was with the thermostat not having battery power so could not be set and the unit was set up for heating and hot water when only hot water was required, so needed a reset.

Service engineer was excellent, and could not be more helpful. Would definitely use them again!

Remove immersion heater thermostat and fit Nest Learning thermostat

Servicing the boiler

Harris heating have been great.  Really quick turnaround.  Great service and communication and followed up after the job was done.

Full central heating system installed

Rang up on Thursday and they attended our property 09:00 on Friday.  Finished by 10:30 and gave a really good service.  They did what they said when they said which is rare in this day and age.  Would not hesitate to recommend based on my experience today.

Andy Parish of A Parish Heating Ltd. was recommended to us by our retiring plumber some years ago. We have always been very happy with the work that they have done for us be it servicing our gas fires, to lately putting in our new boiler and hot water cylinder and new radiator. The staff are always clean, friendly and I have no problems leaving them in the house to get on with the job. Their pipe work is a work of art. They are always ready to help if there is a problem too. I have no hesitation in recommending them to future clients.

The team at A Parish heating were excellent.  The problem first arose before Easter weekend and, mindful of the potential time limitations, coupled with the fact we were going away for a few days, they made everything safe until our return.  Then, as the exploratory work discovered the existing pipes had been installed incorrectly and were developing pinhole leaks they were able to install an entirely new mains water supply to our kitchen.  The work was done with minimal interference to our existing room layout and units - completed to a high standard and site was left completely clean.

I was very impressed with the quality of the service I received.  The engineer was very polite and efficient clearly explaining what the problem was and how he was resolving it.  Thank you.

Central heating repair and servicing

We woke to a cold house with no hot water and received a call from Andy within 30 mins of posting on Checkatrade.  Our issue was prioritised and dealt with on the same day.  Really impressive service by Jamie who fixed our problem swiftly and with extreme professionalism.  I have since booked my boiler service with them too!

Disappointed in the survey.  When we moved into the property thecold water flow was the absolute minimum.  Two taps couldn't be turned on at the same time.  .  Yorkshire Water came,reported that all was well at their end but also agreed the flow at our first tap was low (7 lit per min) Got plumber in and he discovered the original stop tap which was seized at a half open position and corroded.  He replaced it and problem solved.  This MUST have been an issue at time of survey.  Also ground floor bathroom radiator electric heater not working again cannot have been tested.  Cannot get a response.

Home buyers report

My boiler pilot light went out and we could not re-ignite it.  MJ Ryder has brilliant customer service and came to my property very quickly as I had no heating or hot water and I am 88.  Due to the age of my boiler I am now having it replaced to a new combi-boiler in January 2024, MJ Ryder will be carrying out these works.

   I am 88 years of age and have seen a lot of plumbers in my time.   In my opinion Peter Adams is one of the very best.
  I have had a problem with falling pressure in my central heating system for several months.  
  Peter’s experience and professional excellence found a hidden leak under the floorboards and repaired it in an astonishingly short time.
  He left the lounge looking exactly as it was before he lifted the carpet and floorboards.
  I will not be seeking a plumbing/heating engineer through Checkatrade in future:  I will telephone Peter Adams. 



Leak in Central Heating System

Easy to get quote. Really quick to come and service, also looked at and sorted leaking pipe on the outside of the house. Came back to help with further under sink leak issues as well! Easily contactable. Happy to answer questions & give advice. Good rates. Will use Peter again in the future! 

Boiler service and leak repair 

Thank you for a speedy and fantastic job sorting out what became a bigger issue. Peter was quick to respond to the job and booked himself in to come and sort it. He got replacements sorted and was quick to gather any additional items when he found rusted brackets. Everything was cleaned up afterwards.
