The technician turned up on time. He worked steadily for about 3 1/2 hours and the end result was very impressive. The car (2020 Tesla M3) genuinely looked better than the day I picked it up new. He tidied everything up and left the drive where he was working clean and tidy.

Flat battery home visit 

My vehicle was taken for its MOT and failed.  Dodgy handbrake and also a light fitting.  The guys returned the car to the workshop and I was prepared to re book for the work and another test.  Although they were incredibly busy, they managed to correct the faults immediately and the car was retested and subsequently Passed.  Unbelievable service.  I’m sure that this cannot be standard procedure due to their busy work schedule, but it made a huge difference to me as I am self employed and it saved taking another day off work.  Can’t thank them enough.  Keep up the great service.

MOT and advice

I have been a customer for many years and their service is exemplary so at the weekend when I discovered one of my headlights was out I knew they would help me.  I rang on Monday to see if they could replace the bulb and took the car.  On inspection the bulb had exploded and as a replacement wouldn't work, I was asked to bring the car back today, (Wednesday) a fault with the wiring was diagnosed and the repair was done in less than 45 minutes.  Thank you all.

After a misfire and an advisory to not drive my car anymore following further inspection, I rang around for advice, quotes, availability and most of the answers I got were unhopeful and had me thinking about scrapping the old girl altogether. I started the call to Kingfisher with “you probably can’t help me” and how wrong was I! Ian knew exactly what I was talking about, incredibly reassuring and had my car reviewed, fixed and sent off before I even had the time to panic. Great crew, great service and will be coming back for everything car related in the future.

Water in plugs - Removed and Replaced

I had so much trouble with my 2009 VW sirocco (brought by me new, which I owned for 15 years) when the 3rd cinder went.  Getting ripped off left, right and centre, being charged for servicing, spark plugs, oil changes it never needed.  Heart breaking as I looked after her and loved that car.  Finally I found Ian and his team who diagnosed the problem and gave me proper, sound advice.  Also charged me so little I was flabbergasted.  I let her go (as recommended!!) and brought a new, faster, younger model.  The first thing I did was take her to Ian and his team for a service.  5*.  Highly recommended.

I was very impressed by the service offered at Kingfisher Auto Repair.  I had a particularly complex issue with my car, where I feared my car may even be a write-off and they were able to fix it for a good price.  I will definitely consider using them again.  Staff were friendly and accommodating to my needs.

Really helpful with getting me booked in for the following day, by 4pm the following day they had diagnosed and quoted for the repair, collected at 1pm the next day so in and dealt with in less than 48hours cant fault them really happy with the service.  Cheers guys

Van repair

Conscientious, skilful and efficient: you'd be hard put to beat Kingfisher.  My VW van had sustained quite a few bashes, scratches etc, and was looking the worse for wear.  Now it is as good as new.  A really personal service, with an eye for detail and a very decent price.  Highly recommended.

Great service. Came to the house which was very convenient and carried out work quickly  and to a high standard. 

Replacing the window regulator on car. 

We thought the brake pads were worn but when Harris attended, he showed us that the discs were also scratched and needed to be replaced.  He quoted a very fair price and got the job done in about an hour.  He was very friendly, courteous and value for money.  He is a mobile mechanic and worked on the car in our driveway.  The usual pressures for time in a garage was not there.  We would use him again and again and we recommend him wholeheartedly.

Top mounts changed

Said he was doing work that wasn't undertaken to inflate the price - spent a total of 3 hours and parts must have cost £40 at most and was charged a total £350.  On last visit where he was meant to change plugs and clean pistons he spent 45mins max and that alone was £160, charging made no sense.  Asked to have a break down of the charges but received a receipt that had no information.  Expected payment to be made on each of the 2 visits to complete work and threatened to take car keys with him if we didn't pay right away - very unprofessional.  Also need to clean drive as diesel is spilled.
