John Geddes Professional Gardener

My name is John Munro Geddes.

I have worked in private service for 22 years on 2 separate estates in Scotland and 10 years at Pitmedden Great Garden owned by the National Trust for Scotland serving under the former Head Gardener, who sadly passed away early this year.

Prior to that I served my apprenticeship with Glasgow Parks Department for 4 years, went to West of Scotland Agricultural College, Auchincruive where I did the commercial course in Horticulture which is concerned with top and soft fruit, veg, brassicas, salad crops, tomatoes and cucumbers and mushroom crops.

Currently trying to start as an independent gardener, which is why I joined chequeatrade.com.

I propose to carry out garden maintenance, weeding, hedge cutting, lifting and shifting or planting shrubs and small trees, pruning and shredding material. Could also prepare vegetable plots if required.

Member of the PGG Professional Gardener’s Guild since 1986.
