Rear Extension

A huge project, 9 months in total, which we were a bit apprehensive about starting but we are absolutely delighted we put our trust in Ryan and his team.  A skilled, hardworking and friendly team, nothing fazes them and any problems we encountered with our older house were worked through openly.  Ryan takes enormous pride in his projects and managed the whole thing brilliantly from start to finish with amazing attention to detail, vision, suggestions and organisation.  The finished result has given our house a new lease of life; we are very grateful for such an amazing job so well done.

On quite a complex project requiring propping of the main house, everything was delivered to a high standard, with amazing communication from Ryan throughout. I discovered a pipe connection leaking in the evening, understandably worried I put out a job on check a trade, within the first hour I got a response.

I was really impressed by the speed of their response but more so with the transparency of their pricing. They were very clear with their first message what their hourly rate would be, which is incredibly refreshing.

They showed up the next morning as promised, quickly diagnosed the problem, and clearly explained the issue and what the fix was. They were transparent with the price of the part needed.

Tony and his team did a lovely job for me sealing all my bathroom to stop the leaks we was having and also sorting the grout on my tiles that’s kept cracking.  Really good and clear communication and the price was really reasonable.  We was booked in and the job was done Within 1 week.  Tony and his team were very polite and tidy I would defiantly recommend to family and friends.

Every thing went like clockwork from the initial visit to survey the job, through quoting to completion of the work. They were friendly and helpful.

Blocking up fireplace

The 2 lads who turned up to carry out the knocking down of the wall, building a new wall and moving of the soil pipe were very efficient in their work, which was to a high standard.  The same can be said for plasterer who finished off the walls, and the finish on the walls was of a very good standard and perfectly straight and level.  The team had good communication throughout, and quickly updated quotes to fit my requirements and were accommodating to our time schedule

From the very beginning Pearl were engaged and super helpful.  The work was carried out in my elderly in-laws house and we live a distance away.  Pearl remained in contact with us and sorted everything out.  The work was completed quickly and cleanly.  Would reccomend 100%.  Plus my in-laws are really happy with it all.  Thankyou.

The various workmen worked long and hard to finish the job in good time.  They were polite and courteous.  The work entailed overboard a ceiling.  Removal andd blocking up a window.  Removal of a chimney breast.  And replastering work.  All done to a good standard.

The team at Pearl Building were wonderful, my only grievance, was that the project was projected to take 2 weeks, and was closer to 2 months.  The start date was delayed a whole week due to other work.  There was issues with weather, which a lot of that was out of their control, but I did sometimes have to chase up myself to get an update on why they werent there or what was happening.  But all in all, it was a positive experience, and I dont doubt in better weather that it would have been done a lot quicker

Perimeter wall on a footing gives you a good start.

Slabs bedded in half inch of mortar so you can see the whole job is solid. Not on type one or hardcore and sand. That looks very nice for a while then it sinks, the pointing comes out and the weeds appear. This way it will still be the same in 10 years time and you can use your pressure washer with no worries.

Patio Construction.

Driveway laid on 4" of concrete. Block pavers bedded in mortar. No subsidance or weeds.

Time taken with cutting and block shades to make manholes vanish.

Laid on Type 1 and sand. You get what you pay for. Have it laid on concrete.

Sloped driveway meant water ingress to garage with heavy rain.  New drainage channel created.  Guttering also replaced.  All work carried out to the highest of standards.  Terry has undertaken various work for us over a number of years and highly recommend him.

Construct rear ground floor extension

Bob Miller and Son had outstanding reviews ..  which is why we requested a quote.  Terry came and talked us through the process and filled us with confidence.  He was detailed, of a high standard with integrity and trustworthiness..and I couldn’t have chosen any better.  Terrys’ work colleague George was equally of a high standard and their banter and personable nature made the project a joy.  Terry has the ability to see possibilities and has an excellent eye..and a high set of standards.  I would highly recommend him..  you’re safe in his hands ..which gives ultimate peace of mind.

CONSTRUCT KITCHEN EXTENSION AND INTERNAL ALTERATIONS

Terry and George visited to find a water leak we had in a solid floor.  We had visible signs of water and damp in various locations around the walls.  Terry and George had to remove the wooden flooring, underfloor heating and underlay prior to very carefully excavating the floor covering the pipes to find the water leak.  This was painstaking work which they did with great skill, casing no damage to the existing pipework.  After a considerable amount of work, they found the water leak.  We have used Bob Miller and Son on several occasions and would have no hesitation in recommending them
