We were introduced to SSM builders through a family Friend.  From our initial contact with Shane he was prompt with his reply and provided us with a quote we were happy to proceed with.  We scheduled a date for the work to commence and the work commenced in August 2022.  As this was our first renovation project we had spent time to research the process, but shane was really helpful in answering any questions and outline the next steps in the process.  We were more than happy throughout the whole project and the whole family love the extension.

Single storey rear and side extension

Really good service from both lads who did the job, including owner Shane.  Really happy with with quality of work and final finish.  Always on time, friendly and communicated well with me throughout.  Would deffo recommend.

Garden Landscaping/New Patio

Shane was absolutely top class.  As a person with good manners and sense of humor.  Showed respect for my property and family.  Work was explained and delivered as agreed.  Would highly recommend.

Installation of steel beams

Arranged the foundations.  Built the extension with 3 velux windows, bi-fold doors.  Arranged plasterer, plumber/ electricians.

Extended the back of the house.

Drive block paving

The quality of the brickwork was very good.  Offered to re-use bricks from wall to be removed in the backing up of door and raising sill - cannot see the new work.  Very happy.

Tom and Jay supplied and hung 5 Oak doors for us, they were punctual arriving early and great communication letting us know that they would be early to get a head start.  The doors and fixings supplied are great quality and the attention to detail they showed was second to none.  They efficiently measured, cut and planed all of the doors with precision so they fit perfectly.  When we come to replace the remaining doors in our home there's no doubt who we will contact.  Highest quality service with a reasonable price and genuinely nice guys can't ask for more.

Incredibly impressed from start to finish.  Tom took all the stress out of this transformation: reliable, knowledgable, job completed in the time frame he’d stated and details finished off to perfection.  Will now have Tom on call for all future joinery and building needs!

Very professional pair - was all finished within a couple of days of enquiring.  Arrived early morning and finished by midday, which was bang-on how long they thought it would take. Ian engaged quickly with the project - was able to offer advice and guidance which made the project better reflect our needs and got us to think more long term.  He builds properly and to last - operating to a very high standard and taking the stress out of the inevitable disruption.  He coordinated with suppliers - kept and eye on costs and suggested cost savings where appropriate.  Ian and his team were courteous and attentive - operated flexibly around our various commitments.  He gave us confidence, we were very glad we found him.  Friends and family very impressed by the quality of the work.

Double Garage Conversion - to Gym/ Office

Ian came and knew exactly what we wanted.  His professionalism from start to finish was exemplary.  Nothing was too much trouble and just watching him work you could see he was good at what he does.
