Solid unfinished oak aged tumbled parquet woodblocks which we fitted in a herringbone design with a 1block border around the perimeter. We then sanded and oiled the floor and because the blocks were aged and tumbled it gave the finished floor the appearance of being old ..

My guys removed the existing skirting boards in the lounge area then installed underlay and engineered wood then installed new skirting boards and doorbar thresholds to the lounge and orangery areas.

Alex fitted my herringbone flooring which I know is not an easy task as it there is quite a bit of prep to be done and then glueing the floor down. He has done an amazing job and there is not one thing out of place. Very impressed with the service and the workmanship and love my floor. Alex is also a very nice person and not a difficult person to deal with, nothing was ever a problem and he was very tidy and clean even bring his vuccum with him...  10/10!

Smartwood Flooring are a fantastic company and a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. The work looks fantastic and we are over the moon with the finish result. Becky was really helpful and ensured the communication was clear and the quote for the work was priced competitively. 
Emma and Eddie arrived on time every day and worked hard to produce a beautiful finish on our floors. No dust was created by the sanders and they left the place clean and dust free each day. Lovely people who do a fantastic job and are passionate about what they do. I would highly recommend this company.

Repairing floorboards sanding and coating

We moved in to a flat with very uneven wooden floors which had been painted black.  Alex sanded down the floor and now it is even, and the paint has been removed.  Went through options for floor staining then gave advice for floor care.  Worked very efficiently, and responded quickly to emails.

Oakwood Flooring Services

Craig came around to check the floor on Friday 13/04/2024.  He removed part of the skirting and promised to come on Monday to finish it.  When he didn’t show up, I called and sent messages but he ignored me.  My skirting is destroyed and he left it like that.  There are pictures of the skirting.

Fitting of Hallway Carpet

I had carpets fitted throughout my house - lounge, 4 bedrooms, large hallway, staircase and upper landing.  All completed in one day - the carpet fitters were FIRST CLASS.  All guys worked very much as a team to ensure that job was completed to a very high standard, and it was overseen by a manager, who kept in touch with me throughout.  I am delighted with my new carpets and would HIGHLY recommend Flooring Scotland as a reliable company who carry out work to an excellent standard and in a very professional manner.  Prices were very competitive too.  Thank you to all for an outstanding job.

Ian came to measure up and brought with him a breath of fresh air.  He was pleasant.  Efficient and knowledgeable, giving a brief history of the company, making me entirely confident as to what they could deliver.

Laying amtico.

The salesman did not turn up on time and I had to text to see if he was still coming.  He eventually turned up 3 hours and 15 mins late with no apology.  He didn’t listen to what I wanted done to the floor and clearly only wanted to suggest the most expensive option.  He was not knowledgeable about the product or issues that could arise and was very quick to say he couldn’t guarantee the work if I didn’t use the materials that Flooring Scotland could provide.  One to avoid.

Hallway re-flooring

Recently enquired about a job and was speaking with a great guy over the phone who gave off a really good vibe and was looking to get me sorted.  Person who came to do the fitting wasn't very great and seemed annoyed I had organised the material outwith them and spent most of the time talking about liability of any future damage.  Was told I would get an price after that weekend and wasn't contacted until after the work had been carried out by another fitter.  Felt like they were unhappy with my choice of flooring provider and didn't want to do the job.  Disappointed.
