Our house was a typical 1930s pebble dashed semi that had been extended over the years, the pebble dash was looking shabby and we were feeling the cold in the winter months. A neighbour of ours had recently used Smart to provide external wall insulation and they were pleased with the work. We decided to go ahead with Smart and we have been impressed with the attention to detail at every stage of the work. All of Stevie’s team were hard working, polite, professional and tidy throughout the whole transformation. We now have a house that is well insulated and looks fantastic.

Turned up on time and parked on drive so not blocking pavement to pedestrians.  Was polite and courteous at all times. Took his time with the job so that it was completed to a high standard.  Cleared up after himself and mindful to close doors as had a dog staying.  Benefit was he was not a smoker who took a break every half  hour.  Would recommend and looking to use for future work.

A series of errors and mis-communication, leading to 6weeks of waiting and then on the day of fitting no actual work taking place.
The survey that’s conducted to begin with is purely pre-sales to get you to sign up… despite all the mid-communication about how the fitters could do with an old water tank, the survey proposed an insulation depth that would have made the loft space unusable (given the height of the loft) and also a hatch move which the fitters advised wouldn’t be possible.
All in all, a waste of time and effort. Now back to square one finding a local builder to manage the project.

I used Instaloft to fit wooden hatches, boarding and to top up insulation in two loft spaces in my home.  The work was repeatedly delayed - it was due to finish in July and was finally completed in October, during which time I had the entire contents of my loft around the house.  While the staff who provided the survey and carried out the work were polite and hardworking, they failed to top up the insulation to the 27mm they had recommended on three separate occasions.  I can only think that they did not expect me to check.  The other work was fine.  They offered a small refund after many requests.

Survey was done politely and efficiently.  Communication on costs was clear and helpful.  An asbestos survey was required but no extra charge was made and it was done exactly as promised.  Two guys arrived on time the morning of the install (and I got text reminders before), and quickly, cleanly and efficiently insulated three loft spaces and boarded the third.  They helpfully brought a few items down that had been left there and left the space below clean and tidy.  Finally, the survey had been out by about 1sqm (too much) and they notified me of this and efficiently reduced the invoice.

Resonated the loft by installing flooring.  Hatch door relocated and added ladder.  Brilliant workmanship and space will be used as storage.  Thank you.

The work was extremely good and the staff very friendly and considerate, always thoroughly cleaning up at the end of the day.  It was discovered on removing the old boards that the joists in the loft also needed repair, as they were coming away from the beams, which was carried out promptly and at reasonable cost.  We are very pleased with the work.

We had Greg come and do some plastering in the kitchen and bedroom after removing built in units. We're so happy with the results! Everything has been finished to a very high standard. The lads were friendly and flexible with our requests which made everything so much easier! Quality job done!

Property maintenance 

Tom from Ross Ladd's team, fitted a Bathroom & Shower-room light and also made good a wall where we where moving furniture, we damaged the wall. Tom fitted both lights, matched any ceiling paint in areas needed. Then he made good our small dent in our wall and repainted the whole wall! Everything was left clean and tidy! Can't recommend Ross Ladd and his team enough!

I had a wooden underfloor that had warped due to humidity. Ross' team replaced it and installed underfloor insulation as well. The job was completed quickly and the place was left nice and tidy.
