Washing machine

Had a shocking experience with Hotpoint/Whirlpool who I booked to fix my fridge freezer.  Turned into a disaster trying to book in engineers over a period of 4 weeks!  So instead spoke to Tracey and Contracool who was great and booked in an engineer that very day.  The part took 4 days to arrive to which was fitted to a time that matched me -instead of a 3 hour time slot!  Job completed and I now have a fridge freezer again.

I had a very quick response by email from Cattermole Electrical. I arranged for a visit, and Jamie came as planned, prompt polite and and efficient. He quickly diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and returned to fit it within a few days, at a time convenient to me. He offered some welcome advice about use of the oven for best results with baking. 
Very happy with the work, and looking forward to more cakes imminently. They have been missed!

Neff oven repair. 

Had a broken kitchen aid stand mixer. Sent to Cattermole for repair. They organised pickup promptly. Were quick to respond to emails throughout repair process. Came back securely packaged and working again. Overall great experience.

The whole process was very efficient.  My mixer was collected and returned repaired and feeling like new exactly a week later.  There was nothing extra to pay.  I also appreciated receiving polite and friendly emails from Cattermole.

Sadly wasn't possible to repair the dryer, and we had to replace it in the end. However, Homecare were fantastic throughout. They arranged for parts to be delivered and engineer callouts promptly, and before the Xmas holidays. Unfortunately, when the repair turned out to be unsuccessful, they arranged a same-day refund for the parts. Couldn't be happier, and will definitely use again.

A litany of misery dealing with this company.  Absolutely nmot recommended.

Faulty dishwasher

The first caller charged us for a part he assumed was the issue and promised to return to fix it in, he said, 'a few days'.  It took two weeks.  When he came he didn't have the right clips on his van: another visit, in another two weeks.  The third time, he fixed on the part and left without testing the machine: it didn't fix the issue.  The fourth and final caller came to remove the part replaced earlier; in doing so, he stripped the heads of the screws fixing the door to the dishwasher (it's integrated), meaning the door won't attach.  It's still not fixed, and I've told them not to bother.

Dan did a complete house rewire for us whilst my son and I were there plus a dog and cat.  He installed a new fusebox heaters shower extractor fans and wired fire alarms, they did a great job and were a pleasure to have in the house.  They are highly skilled trustworthy professionals who are polite and considerate always checking with us the plans for the house and causing the least disruption possible and tidying up at the end of the day.  It was a huge job that was made less stressful by their professional approach, prompt time keeping and expertise in planning the routes for the new wiring
