Whiterose Improvement

Alfie from Whiterose came out to give a quote on some repairs for my roof. 

He turned up seven hours earlier than agreed, and the price he quoted was way higher than anyone else.

He also LIED, claiming their ‘Sponsored’ listing was because CheckaTrade was officially endorsing the company. 

This isn’t true. ‘Sponsored’ just means they paid extra to boost their listing. 

Can’t trust a word they say!

Roofing Repair

James was very helpful when coming round to quote the job, answered all our questions and the quote was clear.

There were some underlying problems found during the works, Marc shared photos and videos of the issues and how they would need to be repaired prior to the installation of the new roof.

The installation of beams, insulation, boards & new rubber roof was carried out in a reasonable timeframe, the guys were quick to respond also if i had any questions.

Flat Roof Replacement

From quotation to work completed was just under a month. All work was done when they said it would be done. Whiterose seem to be very efficient and want to provide a good customer service.

I had a repair done to a hole in our roofing which they did within a couple hours. Was given advice on what would be best and different pricing brackets. Went with what was justabout affordable. Was informed r3pair job for sectuon will last years but also given other advice with regards yo rest ofroofing. Upfront advice is whats best.

Spoke to Alfie about the work we wanted carried out . And he gave me a on site price which we were more then happy with and we fixed a date to start the work . Job was carried out very personal and a grate team of guys . Would not hesitate to recommend them . And we’re planning on getting them back for future work . Thanks guys .

Danny was very informative when doing his original assessment and gave us different choices for moving forward. Once the remit was agreed Danny and his team were punctual , polite and very efficient and also respectful of our neighbours whose property the had to use to access one of our rooves.

I had to chase the company for a visit date.  I received a verbal quote on the visit date, but then had to chase them again for a written quote.  No response since.

Emergency Roofing Service

Very impressed with Danny Lee and his team: they cleaned our gutters and sorted out the various parts of the roof that needed repairing due to mortar falling out and bird damage, etc.  We have no hesitation in highly recommending the company to others.

A prompt service.  Replaced all the damaged cement in the valleys and sorted out a missed placed tile.  All rubbish removed.  Roof now seems watertight so very pleased with the outcome.  Would use them again if necessary

Cure leaking roof

From the outset Tom and Rod were professional and thorough.  They carried out the work when they said they would and tidied up after themselves.  After very wet and windy conditions since, the leak has been cured.  I have had 2 follow-up calls to check that everything was ok - great service! Roof repair - major leak!

We'd had a leak in our roof.
Tom came round to have a look and diagnosed the problem immediately, he suggested a repair which he expected to work.
Him and his collegue worked hard and efficiently to repair the leak.
All the time he gave me updates and was polite and friendly.
2 weeks later after we'd had some rain he rang me to see how the roof was and if I'd noticed any leaks.
It was nice to hear back from him and showed he was confident in his work but also happy to check up and see if it was all still ok.
I would use Tom and his team again and would thoroughly recommend him.

Joe and his team impressed me from quote through to completion.  They were quick to respond, quote and start work.  Initially we hoped to repair the roof but Joe was honest that this may not be possible.   He kept me informed via phone/video/photo everyday.  (I live overseas).   When it was clear the repair wasn't possible and it would be better to replace the whole roof, Joe offered a fair price for the work comparable with other tradespeople.   I wouldn't hesitate to use Joe and his team again.  The house looks great and the work needed was done as quickly as possible.

In October 2023, John was so confident Redland could stop the leak from the chimney into our lounge, he provided a "written guarantee to stop water ingress over the period of five years from date of completion".  Unfortunately, the repairs did not address the issue and in Feb 24, I advised John.  Since then, no remedial action has taken place and I now note the business is "Temporarily closed"

John and his team at redland property services, came to look at the cause of the leak, without even looking at the roof I was told it was the chimney and that it needed to be removed.  As my surveyor had mentioned in his report this was advised I went ahead with the works.  John and team came next morning whilst I was out and removed the chimney.  I was invited up on the roof to look at what was done.  Since completion the leak is worse than ever and John has failed to turn up time and time again (despite his promises and daily messages and calls from myself) to rectify the issues
caused.

Very good communication, from the start and did the job earlier than expected.  Completed all work, as requested - removed stack, re-roofed relevant area and took away all debris/waste, satisfactorily.

Chimney was leaking in the attic, put the issue on a trader website and these guys contacted me straight away.  I had to wait for the go ahead from my neighbours, and they had terrific patience waiting for the thumbs up.  Work was done quickly, had to wait for space at the front of our house to allow for the work van and again they showed patience and professionalism.  I was in contact via WhatsApp for the majority of the prices and they were always quick to respond at different times of the day, very helpful and efficient would highly recommend

My roof was in a bad state.  I phoned Redland and John came the same day to assess and quoted a fair price.  The work was then carried out quickly and with minimum fuss - especially considering my property is in an awkward position and the weather has been atrocious.  In all the dealings I had with John and the guys carrying out the work they were friendly and courteous.  They also cleared up well after themselves.
