Can my neighbour use my garage wall to form part of their extension?

Question: The side of our garage wall is enclosed in our neighbours garden. Can they use our wall to form part of their extension or must they leave a gap? It is not a share or party wall it is within my boundaries, should I get a surveyor or seek legal advice?

Gareth Styles, GJS Roofing and Building Maintenance Ltd, Salisbury

They should leave a gap/ask them to see the drawings and check the wall design – also phone the planing (council) they will advise also.

Kind regards, Gareth
