Coming Soon! The Checkatrade Trades App

January 31, 2020

One of the most common requests we hear from Trades is for an app to simplify managing membership and profile performance. Based on Member research, the Checkatrade Trades app is designed to offer the fastest way to access the account features you care most about:

Check statistics at a glance: A quicker, clearer layout for understanding your search appearances, profile views and contact statistics to help you understand how your membership is working for you.

Be alerted to new reviews: Checking for new reviews is one of the main reasons Trades log in, so we’ve made it nice and clear with a new reviews notification directly on the app dashboard.

Never miss a Callback request: Callback requests are boosted to the front page where you can see immediately if you have a new request, allowing you to respond to opportunities quickly.

Easier Insurance updating: A less fiddly process for updating your Public Liability Insurance, including a handy alert to let you know when the update is due.

Checkatrade Trades App

We have been working closely with a small group of intrepid Trades who are helping us to test and improve the trial version. There is still time to get involved in this trial by joining the discussion in the Checkatrade Community. By getting Trades involved in this development stage, we’ve been able to optimise the design, such as moving the ‘Membership Performance’ section higher up to reflect the fact Trades want to see new business, stats and then account management, in that order.

Following this final design polish, the Trades App will be available to download for Apple and Android devices in the usual stores.

We’ll let you know when it’s available, then all you have to do is login with your current Trades area login details – don’t worry if you have forgotten them, they are easy to re-set with the links on the bottom here.

Why we should encourage our daughters to embark on a career in construction

Over recent decades, the lines between stereotypical male and female roles have started to blur. As a result, we have seen more women entering roles within construction and trades, empowering the next generation to aspire to roles within these trades. That said, hands-on trades, including construction, are still male-dominant industries. Yet there is change happening....

Building work using lime mortar

Lime mortar is a traditional building material that is composed using the mineral lime and aggregate-like sand before being mixed with water. It’s been used for centuries in building works, and although cement took hold of the limelight (no pun intended) at the end of the 19th century, it is gaining popularity once again. This...
