These handles where fitted to a tilt and turn window - they are not for tilt and turn windows so duly failed - the have now been replaced with the proper handles and work perfectly.

This post is so rotten it can be moved by hand. Luckily I have strong steel acroprops to support the roof to safely replace it.

Using acro props we removed the old rotten post. The new post has been fully treated and is ready for painting. We also supply the posts fully painted and finished.

We added a plastic cover to lower section that goes into the ground so it no longer has contact with the earth.

At the top we have made sure it looks tidy with plastic trims to match the roof.

We then finished this with plastic trim to match the roof.

Here we are removing the earth around the lower part. We have also put dust sheets over the rest of the flower bed to protect from wood chips etc.

The post was so rotten we did not need to cut it out. The porch had sagged 50mm which we corrected with the acro props. If it had sagged further the roof may have been damaged or become dangerous making a far more expensive repair.

The doors where very stiff to operate- it was noted the bottom rail was bowed and not fixed down. I re-packed it and added fixings. This was in Ashstead Surrey.

Incorrectly heel and toed glass only added the poor installation of the frame.

We had remove decking to get underneath the bottom rail to pack it out. Our customer in ashstead Surrey was very surprised by the poor I stallion but was very grateful we could correct it.

The doors now glide open and let in the fresh air. The doors where a worry before as the owners where always afraid they may not get them shut!

There are many many different types of hinge. Some have lots of adjustment some a few millimetres. They need to be in the correct position for the door to work well and lock with ease.

This door was badly adjusted from new. The sealing rubbers were dragging across the wheelchair threshold and have turn them. They were also very hard to lift the handle and lock. My customer is now very happy they don’t need to swear at the door every evening.

From the door poorly installed the hinge is under great pressure. Releasing the fixing bolts and squaring the door frame was the only cure.

Excellent service! David responded promptly to my call. Visit arranged within  an hour from initial call and  arrived on time.  He was fast and efficient at fixing the problem with my upvc double glazed sash window. Very pleased with result.  Highly recommend and would not hesitate to call his company again.

David rang after listing job on Checkatrade and came within the hour.  He was polite and carried out the replacement of broken hinge on UPVC window.  He also checked a couple of other hinges, and carried out a couple of minor jobs, spraying, free of charge.
I would highly recommend David.  He knew what he was doing and extremely knowledgeable.
Would certainly call him for other window/lock repairs in the future.

Window repair excellent!

In May 2026, David fixed a full room width metal window frame that had slipped out of alignment due to poor installation by the builder in 2016. David / Blue Eagle are excellent in every way, this is the second time I've used them. I have no reservation whatsoever in recommending David for window repairs, or for any of the other services offered..

David was quoted promptly and efficiently. Added some trim and re-sealed around our old UPVC bay window at the front of house that needed a bit of care. He pointed out a potential damp issue with no trickle vents at the bottom of the windows which was missed by damp specialists, something we may need to revisit. Will recommend and use again.
