COTSWOLD LIME & STONE LTD

Travis and Jacob did an excellent job rebuilding my chimney with Cotswold stone. They took great care and workmanship with the grade Il listed property. I was kept informed with progress throughout and they cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. Would recommend!

Chimney rebuild

Cotswold Lime and Stone Ltd were recommended by a friend. They did a marvellous job when a major restoration of part of our garden was required in May this year. Working with great efficiency, and speed they first demolished and cleared away two large outbuildings, leaving the site clean and tidy each evening. They then constructed a very large Cotswold stone planter,  designed very sympathetically to fit in with the surrounding stone house. 
Nothing was too much trouble for Travis and Jacob, who are always professional, courteous, friendly and polite. I cannot recommend them highly enough. 

Why Use Anyone Else?

Our 19th century Cotswold cottage was suffering serious damp problems.  I had several quotes but only one , Cotswold Lime and Stone, showed any real understanding of the issue.  With an older cottage you need to respect the craftsmen that built it and the materials they used.  Travis and Jacob are masters of their art and understand the heritage of old buildings.  Highly recommend.

PS.  The damp problem was eliminated immediately.

Solving a damp problem

Travis was very clear with his assessment and explanation of the work that was required. He was flexible when the job changed from what was expected and kept us up to date in a timely manner. We're really pleased with the work they've done so far and look forward to continuing working with them.

Chimney repair and damp investigations

Older houses need to be treated with respect.  Respect for the craftsman that built them and respect for the materials used.  There is no room for shortcuts.  No silicon rods.  No concrete cowboys.  

Enter Travis and Jacob.  

One glance identifies the cause of dampness indoors.  Previous repointing using concrete mortar.  Six weeks later the dampness has gone and the wall looks just as it would have done 150 years ago.  

Brilliant job done professionally and with humour (and countless cups of tea).  

Cotswold Lime and Stone are highly recommended.

Travis came highly recommended through friends of ours, we are super pleased with the end result and now we have a solid wall which also looks amazing. I would recommend Travis and his team to anyone who needs building work to be done. 10/10!!
