2009

Took down chimney outside and in loft and made good to roof.

Previous roofers patch their own new flat roof , to stop it from leaking..  But it still leaked after that still.... 6 months old... They been doing a lot of jobs like this for years.  Established roofing firm in Worthing...  Not good.

Took off a 6 month old new flat roof, which was done incorrectly by another company.  They then put

They never took off the ridging to do the flat roof..     But tried to silicone the ridges, to stop the leaking... But did not work..

What Cowboys...  put the felt over the tiles, instead under the tiles...   than came and smeared mortar on bottom of the ties, to stop it leaking. But it still did.

They went over old flat roof as, because the old roof was, Really..really stuck down..

Well, that didn't do much...  even tried silicone their own new work...   cowboys..

Well, it did come up....&  It wasn't  that hard to come up,  the way they made out..

Done the right way now...      But to the owners coast...

2011

A firm that did fascia  softies, renewed both of verges on the property and both of them came off  fell off..

Rebuild both rafters and barge boards ends on property

Hand fall of nails and little bite of 4x2 that well do.....??   ( NO.....!  ) wrong...

Screwed and fixed in properly... a lot stronger...!   than before.

New 2x1 batten screwed into the rafters to add more strengthening.

Another job done right...  because of another firm doing it wrong  badly .

Clean moss off roof by hand and also spray the roof with moss killer.

D J Roofing responded very swiftly to our call and roof leak and repaired it as soon as the company had an opportunity (within three weeks, as originally proposed).  The proprietor is very courteous, helpful (eg he can provide different options), professional, knowledgeable and nothing is too much trouble.  His work seems to be of a high standard and his final price matched his quotation.  We also used him about three years ago and his repair has not let in any rainwater since and still appears to be good.
