At Dorset Custom Carpentry and Kitchens, we pride ourselves on the all-round service we provide. We produced this Large Oak framed garage with Lean to storage.

Here you can see the new vaulted ceiling and Velux windows we fitted and formed.

We made the existing dishwasher fit nicely into the new shaker kitchen

We transformed this dark awkward space into the perfect storage solution. Coat store on the left, Shoe rack in the middle and deep draw for the dogs stuffs.

We were tasked with removing the old dated stair parts, rebuilding the winders to have even tread heights and cladded the newels with Oak, fitted Oak handrails and spindles and formed an Oak feature step

We floored the entire downstairs in Engineered Oak flooring and fitted new skirtings afterwards to create a nice finish

We built the concealed cistern unit and boxing to blend into the room and finished them off with some solid Oak tops.

We built this vanity unit to take the new basin and match the simply style of this small W/C

The customer designed these units after gathering ideas from various magazines, we made those ideas a reality.

This is to go with the stringless stairs and flow with the metal radiators and handles

The Customer asked an Interior designer to design these stairs, I had to liase with the designer and joiner throughout the design, build and fitting process.

This was on a complete refurbishment we were contracted on in London.

We fitted this Wren kitchen in London as part of a refurbishment.

London - We had to strip most of the existing roof, build up the gable wall to accommodate the steel, fit steels above existing joists to take the new floor and Dormer.  

Loft Conversion

London - This is the entire project we were supplying carpentry for and you can see the finished Dormer

Child Okeford - This was a polycarb roofed conservatory build on a patio. We added a new slated roof, underfloor heating, new French Doors and windows, plastered, painted and Tiled. 

Turning Conservatory into a usable room all year round.

Sedgehill - The customer wanted a few bespoke units that she could paint. We made these filing draws and adjustable shelves units.

Verwood - We were tasked with opening up this space, moving some radiators and updating kitchen. 

Complete Kitchen Refurbishment and structural adjustments.

Verwood - The customer wanted this dark depressing stairs and hallway brightening up and also making use of the space below.

Verwood - The customer wanted to keep the granite if possible and the units weren't old so we replaced the fronts and decoritive panels etc, tiled floor and walls.

The Customer supplied these paint finished windows for me to fit.

I supplied and fitted these new Timber gates. We reused the old Ironwork as these weren't old.

These Clients were in desperate need of a frame a panel before the floor went down and tiles were done. It had to be removable for access but durable for the moisture content in the bathroom. 

MDF Neatmatch Bath Panel

I was tasked with suppling and fitting a cladding to finish of this new window and replacing the old rotten cladding. Because of the position of this Dormer and maintanence being an issue due to access, I suggested the customer uses this very hardwearing product. They chose the colour Pewter which they will never have to paint or replace.

This was in a listed Cottage with existing paneling. We matched the moulds and created this Wardrobe

Projects we've undertaken

The Customers had a very specific look they wanted to achieve. We made this kitchen and paneling for the Lounge . 

Property Refurbishment.

Before we removed the walls and old kitchen.

This is the new raised flower beds that also act as garden divides.

We removed the old wall and balustrade to create this access to the garden.

Steps created to open up access to garden and a raised Herb garden to hide the gate to the side of the property

Creating the Decked area for the entrance and the fencing and posts for the Gates.

Behind this pocket door and paneling we created is the larder come boiler cupboard. 

Property Refurbishment  

Before the single door became a double and paneling went up. 

MDF Paneling with V grooves we created to form this Boot and Dog room. 

The old Wet Room is now a Boot and Dog room. Perfect after a Dog walk on Brighton Beach. 

Wardrobe for Jackets, Hooks for Coats and Wellies in the box. 

During the refurb the customers added a quick job they wanted doing. Making these gates and fence.

Personnel Gate and Driveway gates for Off road parking.

This dark entrance hall needed some natural light.

Once we had formed the floating shelves we could form the units and the draw boxes.

Everything had to be scribed. Including this tops. 

Once the Draw units were formed we could form the Wardrobe carcass. 

After making the shaker style doors we then hung them on blum soft close hinges.

Long clothes hanging space and 2 smaller rails with a handy storage shelf.

With all the units finished we had to form a skirting to match the cottages original skirting and fit it around the room to add that fully fitted look.

A small Bathroom so project management was key here. 

Latex down to protect under floor heating mat and level floor.

Tiling around Shower Tray and the dryling aqua board to level the walls up.

This is a shoe rack in the centre wardrobe.

Push to open draws on both sides with room for longer garments to hang next to them.

We decided with the customer that this Glass would stop the grandkids jumping off the Stairs but also let the light through. 

Getting the String nice and tight to the wall is always pleasing. 

The Stairs are in position and ready for newels, spindles and handrails. 

Mortice and Tenon to secure the Handrail into place.
