Gary was a great chap — very easy to chat to — and, with my very amateur experience of house renovations, he provided excellent guidance and support throughout the work.

Kitchen renovation, bannister and flooring renovation.

Gary was engaged by my daughter and son-in-law to bring back to life an old neglected house in Farnham. As part of that renovation he and his team rebuilt an end single-storey room, which I paid for. The end result speaks for itself ……. very well constructed and fit for purpose. Everyone is pleased with the result ……… and I would recommend Elm Tree Carpentry to anyone contemplating such a project.

Reliable and professional

Our experience of Gary and the team was superb.  They converted our loft into a large spare bedroom / yoga room / office / TV room, including putting in two dormers.  I'd highlight three strengths: (a) their drive in getting the job done, making huge strides on the project every week rather than (as our experience with other builders!) going in stops and starts; (b) their flexibility when new issues came up during the build, finding pragmatic solutions within our budget; and (c) the quality of their workmanship, with the loft now being the best room in the house.  We'd 100% recommend them.

Smooth running, very high-standard loft conversion

Gary and his team were always helpful, polite, professional and on time. We were fairly challenging clients, changing our minds on a number of occasions. Gary coped with these changes and was able to advise and guide us on those decisions. 

While Elm Carpentry & Construction were doing a general construction project for us (complete house renovation) I sincerely believe that their carpentry specialism gives them the edge. 

Any issues (which there will always be on a project like ours - it is a hundred year old plus house) Gary communicated well and just ‘dealt’ with it.
