Nik and the team did an excellent job of my kitchen renovation. The entire process from initial conversation, to recommending a sliding door system that was better suited to my purpose, the plans and having it all signed off by building control. The tradesmen were punctual and the work was carried out to highest of standards. Even following the work being completed, Nik provided support with another concern with the property and every tradesman that Nik recommended to me, worked to the same high standards.

I couldn’t recommend Nik and FDB highly enough! I’m really pleased with my new kitchen extension and with the service provided by Nik and his team. I have young children and they went out of their way to work around our routine to make it as easy as possible for us to remain in the house while the work was carried out. All of the team were polite and friendly. The work was completed within budget and to schedule too. I’d definitely use them again!

Lovely extension, great team

We found FDB very easy to communicate and work with. Work was carried out to high standard and to build programme. We added additional work to the remit as we went along, and FDB accommodated our requests, whilst also having some good ideas on design input. We would not hesitate to use them again.

Kitchen extension and bathroom conversion

Nik and his team have carried out extensive work on my property including significant repairs to all external walls, rendering and decorating, roof and chimney repairs, damp repairs and numerous emergency call outs for various other issues.  
Nik is reliable,  knowledgeable and so reassuring no matter how serious the issue. He and his team are friendly, reliable and a joy to have around. 
I would not hesitate to recommend FDB to anyone with any building concerns, he is the font of all knowledge when it comes to buildings! 

Extensive building work on a 150 year old Victorian property.  

Biggest & most expensive regret we have ever made with the building trade and Nik has taken away our confidence. Niks builders did the foundations, put the walls and roof up, not straight, not square, & with a bow. He ordered the wrong size Windows/doors/glass but blamed the suppliers because he didn’t want to admit to his mistakes. He gets angry when asked challenging questions. Carpentry work was shoddy, and paint work was so gritty and poor that we had to have it paneled afterwards at an extra cost. A 3 month project, and 11months later, we had to put an end as it was too stressful for us.
