This was a very difficult Chair repair. I mentioned to the customer that the design of the Chair was a very poor design and there was know strength in the back of the Chair were the steel rod was. I suggested that I could put a wooden rail at bthe back which would completely strengthen the Chair but they chose not to go with that option hence thats why it broke again. I did warn them that this could happen as it was a very bad break and I did not think there would be any strength in the repair without putting a piece of would in the back to strengthen it. I think it was unfair that they give me an 8 as I did the very best I could do. 

I had to fully restore, re-stain, re-polish and wax Chest rarely nice job to do.

I made this Walnut side Table for a client lovely job to make. I was bit longer on the Job as my Mother was really sick and was taken into Hospital and nearly died with lung Cancer, reason being why I think the client has given a 7 for time keeping as this is not usual for me. I did not want to rush the job and compromise the quality of the Job.

I made an Altar Frontal for a Church in Crookham . There was a delay in completing the Job as my Mother was in Hospital and was very sick hence why I got a lower score on reliability on that job. But it was a fantastic job to make.

I was commissioned  to make a Solid Oak octagonal side Table.

I had to repair the top rail on Mahogany Chair and replace broken and missing timber, restain and polish.

I had to repair the top rails on the back of the Chairs they were badly broken and pieces of timber were missing whichI had to replace, restain and polish.

Repair broken leg, repair top rail, re-glue all the joints, re-stain and polish.

I had to match the original piece of Timber on the Sofa and re-carve,stain & polish to match the existing arm and moulding on the Sofa..

I had to restore an Antique Sofa were the arm had been chewed off by the Family Dog.

I was commisioned to make a childrens oak chair with childs name carved on top rail.

I had to sand down Table & Chairs from a dark painted finish and then re-apply a very light stain and then I applied a clear polish finish.

I had to re-glue chair and then polish, stain & wax chair.

A very scratched display coffee table was restored to perfect condition. This is the second restoration job that Greg has done for me, and a super repair.

Excellent restoration

Reliable and turned up on time. Kept informed on cost. The restoration on my grandaparents sideboard circa 1950s was outstanding plus a wooden chest coffee table which had ring stains and 4  wooden dining room chairs to be touched up .. all outstanding and like new. Highly recommend Greg and hes currently still doing another oak coffee table for us .. certaintly keep Gregs number.

Greg is an old fashioned skilled furniture restorer. We asked him to repair and polish a walnut tallboy wardrobe that used to belong to my partner's grandfather. It was scratched , the back was coming off and a door was off its hinges. Greg lovingly restored it. He stripped it back and stained it. We don't live near by and so we communicated by text message when decisions needed to be made. He sent videos so that we could see progress and made suggestions regarding stains etc. 
The end result is a beautifully restored, usable, tallboy. Thank you, Greg!

Chair repair

Although Greg's workshop was 50 minutes away from our home. It was worth the trip.  Moving house in November 2025 one of my small side living tables got slightly damage. He did a wonderful job of stripping down the damaged area and repairing. Table is back and I'm very happy with his work. I would hesitate to use his skills again.
