From Old to New

Base coating before applying 2 more layers , white and cappuccino always looks good , but you gotta make those lines perfect and smooth 

Once you take the photo frames off walls - ohhhh my they need a lick of paint

Base coating walls before fine touching up (I cut in and use frog tape for perfect lines  

Hmmmm leaks are a nightmare , house needed a full makeover after water damage 

Customers worst nightmare - broken pipe in attic : house destroyed leaving all walls and ceilings to be replaced before  decorating..

Once base coated - we found a thousand dents and uneven parts , once stripped - the wallpaper (fresco was covering a thousand scratches and dents from the 1970s) so we filled with toupret filler 

Hmmmm a lick of paint is required😅 also there is some weeds to clear - just a few

Wood turns horrible if not painted in this awesome Scottish weather

Wood decking rotted and unstable , hut horrible colour , requires full replaced composite decking and a lick of paint

Once the thick fresco wallpaper was stripped , the wall plaster was held with chewing gum and cello tape , plaster and fill required also the dampness needs sealed

Once stripped it looks not bad - lick of paint and damp proof binn paint required , also wallpaper covering up concreted old fireplace 

I love how they filled plug sockets in the 1940s with coal and chewing gum , Lining paper and skimming please , loving those 10 layers of paint skirtings 

Hmmmm once stripped , it looks like a hospital stripe was used , more sanding please 😅

Before we wallpapered , walls required more sanding and prep work 

Don’t ask , the walls were used as dart board or UFC punching bag , sanding and filling please , 

Kitchen rip out and electricians and plumbers from the 1940s left work , new units and tiling to be installed once walls are smooth

Filling up archway with plasterboard to be skimmed and painted nice , once the dust coat is done proper 

Decking subframe underway , old one was rotted and unstable , treated exterior kiln wood batons reinforced to take tons of weight , each crossmember 25-30cm gap , unlike the original one at 50-60cm 

Loving that magnolia and cream/white skirting , gotta love the 70s

Wall prepped for wall mural , blue side wall ready for nursery makeover

Wooden decking from 1980 to be replaced with composite decking 10 year guarantee , no painting , no flaking just clean with brush , but that original subframe rotted and decking unstable

Blank canvas for most new properties , don’t know what to do this was converted to Japanese zen garden result beautiful

Build a log cabin they said, put in jacuzzi hot tub they said, trust me it won’t rain they said-construction of log cabin in the rain (middle of July😅results are amazing but it was Lego on steroids

During construction of Japanese zen garden , composite decking subframe -  Built to last , to be cut in circle , amazing job total transformation from plain grass garden 

Hmmmm smoking and candles over the years produced a lovely pattern on ceiling - with 2 layers of binn paint to cover up the tar/nicotine marks before we coated with white  

Hmmmm walls need a lock of paint , once we base coat with shellac binn paint , nicotine and candle residue caused the white ceiling to go brown , problem solved with time and materials for the job

Once we are finished with the white and grey , customer will get the carpet runner installed and a few pictures up

Metered and metres of delicate low tack frog tape to get that perfect line 

Hmmmmm it didn’t look bad before we stripped the 5 layers of wallpaper , covering more sins than a church confession day

Nathan had a big job in our garden. He had to remove our old pergola with rotten base, install a new one and put a large decking with wooden frame underneath. Along the way he did a whole host of other improvements in our garden such as building a wood storage, put trellis on top of fence, build firepit base, cut an old tree, fix our shed, painted sleepers and gazebo and build canopy. 

All work was done professionally. I sometimes felt he was working on our project as is it was his own garden!

He is honest and gave me all the receipts. He honoured his commitment on original estimated quote.

Honest, highly professional

Nathan is absolutely brilliant. He’s incredibly talented, very creative, and truly a perfectionist. He never leaves a job until he’s 100% satisfied, and it really shows in the results. He transformed my whole garden, put up my gazebo, painted my fence, changed and lowered my decking, and even created a beautiful zen garden using leftover wood. My outdoor space now feels special, peaceful, and completely renewed.

Nathan is a rare find. He is extremely hard working and very talented. He is respectful of your home and does an excellent job. He goes above and beyond to please and takes pride in his work. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Wallpaper and paint 2 double bedrooms

Nathan worked with us for a month and painted the entire interior of our 3 bed home, including two awkward stairwells with very high ceilings. He is a brilliant decorator, with great attention to detail (meticulous sanding / filling / priming until it was perfect) but his real worth comes in his advice and support. He’s got a wealth of knowledge and picked up extras like brass hinges for us to try, even though they had nothing to do with the original job. 
He even created a coded paint chart with strained small tins of our left over paint for touch ups! Can’t recommend enough!
