Smaller hogweed plants identified at a site in North London

Giant Hogweed, identified by its large flowerheads and spikey leaf edges is an injurious plant native to Russia and Georgia. Contact with its sap and direct sunlight causes severe burn-like injuries.

Poison Hemlock, another injurious plant present in the UK is potentially fatal to humans and to wildlife. Both the growing and cut dried plant are poisonous. Hemlock spreads rapidly via seed head.

Himalayan Knotweed, often mistaken for Japanese Knotweed. Identifiable by its elongated leaves. Whilst not a mortgage threat, should still be treated in the same way as its Japanese counterpart.
