Striped back and removed collapsed firewall

Opened up for Velux windows/weathered prior to installation

Removed existing lead and replaced with new code 4 lead flashing

Run new code 4 lead flashing and re-built firewall

Removed/replaced rotten rafters. Re-pitched roof with treated 4x2s to match existing. 

Run new eaves felt and breathable membrane

Damp Proofing & Plastering

Lewis Byard carried out damp proofing work for us in March 2026.  They were able to start work quickly and the job was carried out professionally and to our complete satisfaction.  The house was left clean after each day and rubbish was cleared away promptly when the work was finished.

I would like to say what a great job Lewis and team did on a sizeable re-plastering across 3 bedrooms. Cleanliness was no 1 from the start, with the team going out of their way each & every day to ensure  works were left in a good state.  They recognised how important this was.  This was especially so upon completion, when tonnes of effort were expended to leave all rooms & the building common areas in a really clean condition.  As for the plaster works, these were done to a very high quality with a super smooth finish.  All the little details required for a great job were covered.  V pleased.

Plastering Reviw

Lewis helped us find the source of a water leak and repair our kitchen, understairs area and hallway. It was a really stressful time for our family but he helped us through the whole process. He was very responsive, honest and his pricing was fair and transparent throughout. His team were lovely, hardworking and cleaned up after themselves each day. The work was done to a really high standard and nothing felt rushed. Would definitely recommend Lewis and his team.
