Top Hung Velux Window Fitting - October 2018

We start to prepare the opening by removing the felt and roof tiles

We have removed the felt and roof tiles and start to begin making the opening

This is how the opening looks from the outside once the tiles have been removed

This is how the opening would look like from the inside, time to fit the timbers!

Time get the flashing ready for fixing!

Time to get this window out of the box and onto the roof!

Now the frame is all nice and square, time to put the flashings round and put the tiles back!

Finally! The window is complete and now the sash has gone in to finish the job! Nice work Mr. Fitter

The new Velux is now fitted and complete, time to clear up give an demonstration!

This is a huge no, normal double glazed windows should not be fitted into a roof!

Once the tiles are removed we now start to get this double glazed window out!

Standard double glazed windows should not be fitted into a roof!

So here we have a double glazed window fitted into a roof! We start by first removing the tiles
