2018 will be my 21st year as painter and decorator,I am fully insured with public liablity insurance of 5 million pounds. I started in the industry  in May 1997 working for my Father&#39;s established Family business gaining my City and Guilds qualifications through an apprentiship I now have my own Company with many returning customers keeping me busy on throughout the year, many of whom have been referred to me to continue with my Father&#39;s work on his properties now that he has retired.On the whole the work we mainly undertake are Home renovations, we don&#39;t get involved in the commercial side of painting and decorating and we specialise only in quality painting and decorating internally and externally.The workmanship is always of the highest quality as many of the 94+ reviewing customers on Checkatrade.com will testify, time is always  taken from the initial quoting stage to completion to establish your individual requirements and expectations and maintaining them with regular correspondance whilst we work at you Home.Thank you for taking a few moments to read my profile, I look forward to hearing from you and  offering  a free estimate. Use of colour

Customer instructed me to paint a feature wall and hang this wallpaper.Each length is exactly 50 centimetres apart and the cars are exactly in line with each other. This takes some skill and judgement.

My company has also completed many exterior properties, the customer was especially impressed with the way I matched her front door and garage door by specially mixing the paint. Prior to decorating they were severely neglected.

This front door had previously been painted black and subsequently been severly blistered by sunlight, i stripped it back to its original state and restored it to this.

After decorating a customers bedroom my customer wanted me to get creative, here are the results.

Martin has recently applied a cheap DIY version of paint for our home.  Painting from 5pm onwards, not 'realising' he applied a pink to the walls instead of original southern stone. Rather than rectifying the error at the DIY store, he said the job dynamics changed, asking for more money to fix his error.  No accountability, responsibility or apology.  
Dulux HQ confirmed his colour blend was wrong.
We decided not to proceed with the additional funds. 
Angry, he smeared pink paint on unaffected walls upstairs at night, left lights & heat on with windows open. Breached trust, contract & home.

House Painting & Decorating after 16 years of returning to our home.

Martin and his colleague Phil have done a very thorough job.  Good attention to detail and very easy to get along with.  Also, importantly, the job was completed within the timescale we requested.  Very good.

I found Martin to deliver a high quality of work.  Martin tidied as he went and the work was completed to a high standard.  I would use Martin again for future work.

Painting hall, stairs, landing, open plan living room and kitchen, plus two bedrooms.

I cannot recommend Martin highly enough.  From start to finish he has been punctual, hard-working, courteous and dedicated and has always put in the extra mile.  I will continue to use Martin for as long as he's prepared to work for me!  Nothing is too much trouble and his attention to detail fantastic.  You won't be disappointed.

Decoration of 3-bed Cottage

Martin has been great, good communication and great work.  We needed some rooms repainting and others decorating from scratch and the finish is great.  He protected all our new floors and carpets throughly throughout and was very flexible around the various work we have going on.  We will be getting him back for more work in the future and would recommend.

Have used Martin for many years.  Always arrives and finishes work on schedule.  Leaves place tidy at the end of the day.  Works flat out and is reasonably priced.
